LamarCheeks Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 That probably was the worst thing that could happen for Devonte. Now, he'll think an open 45-footer is his shot! NOLA Hoosier 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 That's the Devonte Green experience in a nutshell over the past minute. Quote

pumpfake Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 19 first half points? I don't think any defense would allow you to win games with that level of anemic scoring. OK, 22 points thanks to a banked in prayer. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I'll be honest. I checked out on this team several games ago. I prefer to focus on our recruiting and other IU sports and try to delude myself that basketball will get better. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

DChoosier Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Yep, Green was bad but so was Rob, Franklin, Brunk, etc. Would be nice if someone would introduce 4 IU players on the court to TJD. Just a thought. Josh 1 Quote

IUHAHN81 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I wish Archie would chew himself AND his players a** half as hard as he chews that gum. Speed of the leader, speed of the group. Gotta show some fire yourself Archie! Quote

coonhounds Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Do we have any foul trouble? Hopefully we can come back and winSent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Quote

Iso-ball would probably have us around 26 but got to account for the turnovers leading to points on the other end. Either way something’s gotta changeSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

JerryYeagley23 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 You know, everyone talked “Good Devonte/Bad Devonte” early in the season and our frustrations were with wanting more good Devonte. His talent and ability to make shots was something we needed on this team, if he could improve his decision making. What I see now is a kid who has been drilled so hard about being smarter and not taking bad shots, that you’ve got a dilluted version of the good Devonte we need of this team is gonna win. He is thinking so hard about making passes that won’t get him benched that what made him valuable, his confidence and ability to fire off three 3’s in a row and keep us in the game is gone. He’s playing to please, instead of with his instincts. And it’s actually causing more turnovers and missed shots. He’s everybody’s favorite black sheep, but he’s the best shooter on the team and if you haven’t noticed, the other guards aren’t an upgrade - they’re just safer options with lower ceilings. But I know, I’m an enabler. Quote
