Phinisee learned it. He didn’t learn it to the expectation. I love how many people want Archie to reward that with minutes. 

I just don’t feel like Justin Smith learned the system either, he looked lost and bored in most games sans a couple. Jake never got the time on the court to get into a groove. He was liked a caged animal every time he was let out. He needed time to settle in and never got it.

And in regards to Phinisee learning the system, maybe, but I would also expect the basketball IQ of our starting point guard to be a little higher than most

 Joey Brunk, who was listed at 220 pounds on Butler’s roster last season, is listed at 245 pounds.

• Sophomore Rob Phinisee is listed at 190 pounds after being listed at 182 pounds last season as a freshman.

• Sophomore Damezi Anderson is listed at 225 pounds after being listed at 215 pounds last season as a freshman.

• Redshirt sophomore Race Thompson is listed at 235 pounds after being listed at 228 pounds last season as a redshirt freshman.

• Junior Justin Smith is listed at 230 pounds after being listed at 227 pounds last season as a sophomore.

Love seeing Jager on the staff now. Obviously we don't know what the future holds with wins/losses and the longterm success that will/won't come, can we at least agree that Archie gets Indiana and how to build a program? He kept Elston on staff, every recruit he's brought in but one (Forrester) has been from Indiana or at least the greater Midwest area (Hunter/Ohio, Thompson/Minnesota), he added a former player in Mike Roberts to his staff, and now he's added a former player of his to the graduate manager spot where I assume he'll be groomed to one day be a coach. 

That's how you not only build a program but you build a culture.

Going to hear Archie talk today at Evansville Harrison High School. Looking forward to hearing what he says. I like hearing input on how the summer workouts have went.

Great question. The Shoulders family set this up. Pat is the EVSC attorney and is a Harrison alum (along with being an IU board member). I bet Archie will talk the whole time. I really want to hear about Damezi, Jerome, and Armaan. We need backcourt/wing depth. If 2 of those 3 guys can give you good 10-15 minutes I think this team will be solid.

See I would love a venue where we could ask Archie approved questions. Would love to hear how he expects the 3 point line change will affect the pack line

I'd also like to really know what the plan is for ball handlers when Phin comes out. I hope and pray it's not Devonte sliding over but there's nothing else really proven on the bench.

This is a great question. We all have our thoughts on this, but would be really cool to hear Archie's perspective on it.
