Is the charge/block arc only on drives to the bucket? Because Davis was backing his way in, the defender flopped and got a charge. I think Davis probably did initiate the contact, but the defender's foot was inside the arc -- I thought inside the arc = charge, regardless. Am I wrong? (Probably). I do not think that should have been a charge because the defenders foot was clearly in the circle. Quote

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the arc only matters if you are a defender off the ball. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

No need to syh ... Davis definitely initiated contact. But the defender's foot was inside the arc. Why was that not a block. Does the arc not matter in that case. I'm seriously asking -- I'm not sure. Quote

LamarCheeks Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Of course Smith hustled downcourt. There was a chance for him to make a bucket. Smith hustling back on defense? That's another story ... Quote
Crimson and Cream Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 We've definitely got them out of sync Quote
schoosier Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Wisky invented the hack and grab. And on their way to perfecting the push off on rebounds. They on trending up on my most hated list. Quote
Btownclouds Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Gasp! Good basketball. Please please keep this play to end the yr Quote
HoosierAloha Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 The arc is only used for a secondary def Nader. The primary defender can be inside the arc and still draw a charge. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Str8Hoosiers 1 Quote
