Bailey7878 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Appears Al Durham is out tomorrow and possibly longer... we can't get fully healthy... I would hope to see a little bit of Damezi but we didn't see him with Rob out so I doubt we see him with Al out... I less shooting option... :(Of but of course. By the end of the year we will be done to 3 players.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
Bailey7878 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Also, I'm guessing this means Forrester will be available? I'm not sure he was against Nebraska. ... Would love to see Anderson come in and knock down a few 3s ... Man, I've got a feeling we're gonna get squished tomorrow. Hoping the boys can rally, but not holding my breath ... I will be at my k8ds game so if we get smoked I wint have to view it at least. I feel like it could be 88 to 61type of game. Hope I am wrong.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

To be clear though after I posted this new info came out that there is a chance Al plays on Saturday but I am still thinking he will sit this one but could be a good sign for the "possibly longer" aspect. Then there were tidbits that Damezi is getting closer to being able to contribute so that would be big. Stromboli 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Got "kicked/kneed in the back of the leg" against Nebraska and may not play 5 days later? Seriously, what is our medical staff doing/not doing to these kids? coonhounds 1 Quote

HinnyHoosier Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 He could easily have sprained one of the big 4 ligaments if there was enough force to the back of the leg and depending on if his foot was planted, etc. I didn't see the injury so I don't know. thebigweave 1 Quote

I’m working with the coaches. And even academics, I’m working with them to get back to being myself.” Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 So, I know that you can't evaluate concussions from watching videos, but still. Look at this. Robert Phinisee missed more than 3 weeks with the small hit he took. Nerlens Noel took two shots to the head in a game on January 8th. Here's the video. It looks like he was knocked out by the first hit, and then his head literally bounced off the floor when he landed. He was back playing on January 17th. He's back in less than a week and a half while Race has been out since November and Rob was out over three weeks. It just is so bizarre to me. Quote

I'm sorry, I forgot that we're not supposed to question what IU is doing. Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 They are adults and make the scratch. The school has student athletes that they ensured parents they would take care of These kids all dream of making it to the NBA or next level. Part of that is avoiding career ending injuries. Very little value on an individual level to rush back. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave 1 Quote
Popular Post monskisprodigy Posted January 23, 2019 Author Popular Post Posted January 23, 2019 (edited) With all the bad news, thought i'd bring something positive. Just saw where Archie announced Race has been cleared for full contact. Not quite ready to play, but could be seeing game action very soon. LamarCheeks Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 I'm guessing this was covered a bit in the N'western game thread, but Race Thompson has been cleared to play. Unfortunately, he hasn't practiced in 10 weeks, so he's probably not in very good basketball shape. But to get another body back is welcome at this point. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I tried to listen to Archie's news conference today, but he stood and wasn't near the microphones, so I couldn't hear very well. But it looks as if De'Ron might be done for the year -- or at least out a good while. And I did see someone post that -- no surprise -- Green remains suspended. Quote
SlamaJamaSisley Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I also heard Archie suffered a broken foot while disciplining Green. Go figure! It's just one of those years I guess. ALASKA HOOSIER, Str8Hoosiers and Class of '66 Old Fart 1 2 Quote
