From tonight's radio show and more nagging injuries to report.
In Sunday's practice, IU forward Race Thompson was involved in a collision on the court.  He could miss time with concussion symptoms.

Someone’s mic was on during the first break. You could hear miller say Thompson got knocked out 30 min into practice. Then in second segment he said Thompson was in concussion protocol

Wow. Walking Wounded. Good thing we have depth this year.

Green
Thompson
McBob
Hunter

Durham to a lesser extent
DeRon can’t be too healthy considering.

6 of 14 players.

My pure guess is that everyone but Race and Jerome play tomorrow. REALLY hope these injuries clear up and the full compliment is available soon...but Hunter's doesn't sound promising.

That kind of blows.  As a long, long time Indiana Hoosiers basketball fan, it is hard to see Northwestern football take precedence over IU basketball.  Can't believe I just wrote that - that is just wrong.  (A little bitter because I am going to this game, traveling several hours from KY...yes KY...and Hoosiers hoops is being usurped by a Wildcats football team!)

Anyway, how does this earlier start affect the crowd?  Are students even awake at 1:00 on a Saturday?  Hopefully AH will be in full B1G mode for this home conference opener.

More than likely, it’s about tv ratings because of the presumed opponent of NW (OSU/Michigan). While I dislike earlier weekend games, it makes sense from a tv ratings standpoint.

I believe it was Oleman who gave the scouting report for that point guard from McCutcheon. Come to find out, he undersold him!             This kid is who you build championships around. If there is a weakness in his game, I would be nitpicking to point it out  (clock management ).                        He's a complete point guard, and he's ours for four years. Can't think of any other pg in the country I'd want running the show (both ends) than RP!

It isn't Northwestern football taking precedence over IU basketball. If the situation were flipped and Indiana made it to the title game out of the east - lol - and the game were at Northwestern it would also be moved. There's no way they're going to have one school playing a men's basketball game and a football game especially when one is the Big Ten title game. They're not going to cannibalize their own ratings like that. It has nothing to do with which programs are in the situation.
