Love this stuff

I've really enjoyed these clips as well but we'll have to wait for HH to see the bad AND the good. Still, it's hard not to get excited about what this team could be.

Me too. It's just a brief highlight video, but Al looked good in those clips.

I liked his handles getting into his spot on the left elbow and knocking down the shots. Al's minutes will depend on his ability to knockdown the open shot and his handles. If he could run the point for some stretches with Romeo in the backcourt that would be some great length on defense.

We have some options and interesting combinations for this upcoming season. I hope this is just the start though.

Last season we only hit 194 out of 602 3's for a whopping 32%.  Ain't gonna happen this year and with improved outside shooters it will open up good things inside for Juwan, Justin, etc.   Like many others, I'm really looking forward to season 2 of the Archie era.

If Smith can be that Troy Williams slasher with an outside shot Morgan is going to have plenty of room to work down low.

I think that if Romeo’s jumper falls this year, he can lead the B10 in scoring. If not, the physicality of the B10 could get to him. Nice to see it going down in these videos.

I think the lack of viable options at Purdue will have CEs getting far more shots than Romeo and probably leading the big ten.

Romeo might be the most efficient scorer

Are you insinuating Romeo is a little soft?

It wouldn't be the first time I have heard that around my area, but mostly from fans of other teams....

I never seem to see Romeo in these lifting/body transformation videos. I’m sure he’s putting in the work but is it that others are making more impressive strides? I see him in the scrimmage vids, of course. I don’t think he’s soft, I just don’t think he’s got a B10 caliber body. A 180 pound kid being knocked around by a 210 pound more mature player over the course of a season is going to take its toll.

Disclaimer: This is not meant to be a criticism. Kid oozes talent.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but he's also more of a "finesse" player. Sometimes guys who play that style get the "soft" label since they aren't bowling people over on their way to the basket.

He definitely gets labeled as "soft" only because he has a calm demeanor about him and isn't pounding his chest after every basket or talking trash. He lets his game do the talking. As someone who's seen him play in person a few times he definitely doesn't shy away from contact and I don't think there should be any concern that he's not B1G ready or going to get bodied by others. He'll get 18-20/gm with ease and you will see him at the FT line A LOT taking plenty of contact.

Thanks for the info, I have seen him a few times and seemed to be really bothered by contact... not necessarily avoiding it but it seemed to get in his head if somebody roughed him up a bit. Seemed to really exaggerate contact and injury... There is a big difference in high school ball and College ball though so hopefully that is all coached out of him... I liked Thomas Bryant but don't want more of those type of antics.

You won't see any of those antics with Romeo. Not even close. And btw, I've watched him play about 30 or so games and never seen him exaggerate contact or fain injury like you say.

Good. I really hope that is the case because I am super pumped for him this season.

I think the 2 games that come to mind for me were the 1st & last games this past season. 1st game they were playing a really good team with some future college players and he seemed to exaggerate the contact a bit for my taste... and the last game in the postseason when they were losing I seem to remember something about an injury that got a lot of talk during the game.

Those could very well of been outliers and not the norm... or I could even have a foggy memory of it all.... that is just some of the things I remember and some of the things that I hear from time to time... again mostly from fans of other teams.
