In my opinion winning it all will have nothing to do with with where Romeo ends up. Roy Williams won a National Title and the very next day did an in home visit with Romeo. If he was influenced by teams winning it all then North Carolina would still be on the list. Kansas was always the best option for him if he was worried about winning it all Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Romeo was never going to UNC. Period. End of story. Not with the fake class stuff. Doesn’t matter if they’d won three straight championships while recruiting him. Wasn’t gonna happen. Him and his family have higher standards than that Quote

Myrmidon76 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Just an observation, but the Duke bad-guy pretty much always ends up being just another dude in the NBA. Laettner, Reddick, etc...They all have had pretty good careers (sometimes longer than than the great players that Duke has had), but for all the attitude and pomp...it doesn't amount to much at the next level. In my view, the childlike behavior gets dealt with a little quicker and with a little more.... persuasion...than it does in college. That's how I feel about Allen. He can pack his bag with all those things he thinks will give him an edge, but will only result in a lighter paycheck and staring up at a grown man wanting an explanation. Allen could hit big shots, but his attitude really did him harm. Class of '66 Old Fart, Iugradman, Crimson and Cream and 2 others 5 Quote
Magnanimous Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I realize that the numbers update as the tournament progresses, but if the Kenpom 20/20 rule holds, the winner will either be Villanova or Michigan. Go Nova. HoosierAloha, thebigweave, ThompsonHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

Lots of solid careers but not many elite... redick, Laetner, hill, boozer, dunelavy, brand etc Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Myrmidon76 1 Quote

If injuries didn’t derail him Grant Hill is a 10-time All-Star and HOFer. Brand while not on that level, was a multi-time All-Star. Even Laettner made an All-Star game, though I do admit his career in the NBA was not what people had hoped. Again though, I do agree with overall point. thebigweave and Btownclouds 2 Quote
Stuhoo Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Kyrie Irving was at Duke for a few minutes too. Probably the best or second best guard on the planet currently. MikeRoberts and chicagoHOOSIER 2 Quote

Bailey7878 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 The most amazing thing about Michigan is the highest ranked recruit the have was ranked 65th. He is doing this with mostly 3 star players and they only lose two players after this yeas. He is one hack of a coach.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Crimson and Cream 1 Quote

He cut UNC despite the current championship for various reasons. Kansas is already in his final cut and being the current champion COULD give them a slightly more appeal than they already have. AND, if Romeo truly doesn't know where he wants to go (which is supposedly the case) it could be what tips the scale. Quote
CSP Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 To me, at this point, it would take Nova playing poorly to lose. And I don't mean shooting poorly, they shot poorly yesterday 19-57 from the field(33%) and 4-24 from 3 (17%) and won by 12. Brunson is as good of a college guard as I can remember. I'm honestly jealous of what they have going right now. Str8Hoosiers, BGleas, ALASKA HOOSIER and 2 others 5 Quote
HoosierFan1994 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I've got Villanova over Michigan. I really like this Final Four. Loyola was obviously very underrated. Quote
