yogisballin Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 We're playing 3 freshmen and averaging 16 TOs a game. That's no worse than last year really. There's reason to believe we can finally begin to improve in that area (eventually).Right! I think it’s time for RoJo and Newkirk to go to the bench. Hartman will make a difference as wellSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app reconmkd 1 Quote

Fantastic to hear we have a coach that understands this and isn't going to focus on stupid stuff like deflections. southsidehoosier, reconmkd, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 5 others 8 Quote

Our bigs are inadequate and we are adding Forrester who has nice upside but isn't really ready for the big leagues yet. I don't think we have the pieces next year either even with Romeo. Unless DD transforms or Clifton gets ready. Hard to see. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app yogisballin 1 Quote
reconmkd Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Exactly. Im at the end of my rope if Archie doesn't work out. I thought Sampson was going to kill it. Wrong. Actually thought Davis would do well. Wrong. Hated the crean hire and thought he should of been fired two years ago. Right. Excited about Archie mostly because it meant crean was gone. I want to think he will kill it but who knows.Sent from my SM-J700T using TapatalkI don't know how long it will take but to actually have a coach hold players and himself accountable, use the bench for punishment, and using timeouts at ideal times is a huge step in a positive direction. I think if the seniors get benched for an extended period of time and the underclass men gain experience, it will be a huge plus. But only if being benched sinks in!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app pumpfake 1 Quote

woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 We've been waiting patiently for 25 years since we were good. If archie doesn't pan out I don't think I can take another rebuild. It's Archie or bust for the program.Sent from my SM-J700T using TapatalkI understand that. However, I feel Archie will turn it around finally. I could be wrong though. Sent from my SM-G930V using BtownBanners mobile app southsidehoosier 1 Quote
Popular Post Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted November 16, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 16, 2017 I wish Phinisee could enroll at the semester. That would be amazing. We all know Archie can teach defense. Next year he will have a guy to take care of the ball too. This 3-4 years till we're good again talk is wayyyy too premature. pumpfake Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I'd really like to see Archie pull a rabbit out of his hat and get a Max B type guy for next year. I am confident in his coaching abilities and am quite optimistic about the future, but we need some size up front. From my understanding his system relies on more than just guard play so I'm sure he'll be doing everything possible to reel in some big guys. Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 They’re gonna take lumps. What’s really disappointed me so far though is the turnovers. I don’t know why IU can’t take care of the ball. It’s literally elementary. I guess they’re still in preschool reconmkd 1 Quote
