Fundamentals will once again be instilled into the IU basketball program. That's gonna be the biggest difference on the court

I think a huge difference will be understanding what their coach wants from them instead of making things needlessly complicated and philosophical.

And defensive drills. Can't forget those!

I don't know if I'm late to this party or not but my expectations at a minimum (baring injury) would be:

1. Competitive in the B1G (3rd - 7th in conference)

2. 1-2 Wins in the Conference Tourney

3. NCAA Tourney Appearance

What I have a feeling we are absolutely capable of doing:

1. Winning the B1G (Shared)

2. Final 4 of Conference Tourney

3. Elite 8 in NCAA (maybe final 4 if we really start clicking and Archie is as good a coach as all seem to think)

We lost OG (who hardly even played last year and when he did, wasn't playing his best), Blackmon (who we seemed to play better without the year prior), and then Bryant (and I feel Davis was always better than Bryant just not as athletic and in foul trouble).  Plus we gain Hartman.  If we had a competent coach last year, we should have made the NCAA tourney easy as seed inside of an 8 seed.  Archie runs a similar system as Crean offensively with much better movement and flow so I don't see the transition here that vast, but if he can get them playing defense, then this team has the potential to be special.  Maybe not NC special but certainly a fun team to watch and be proud of.  I can actually say I'm excited about this season.  Something I haven't been able to say for a few years now even though I still watched every single game.

Go to CuJo's twitter and see his workout video that he retweeted. I have been hearing amazing things about the kid, but that is hearsay this gives you guys a shot to look at his form. He has made a slight adjustment to get his release quicker, but has said it is making him a lot more comfortable which is the most important thing. Personal relationships may affect my judgement on him, but if not for RoJo I believe he would be our 2 guard starter.

That won't prevent him from starting if he's good enough.

  • DeRon
  • Juwan
  • Josh
  • RoJo
  • CuJo

Is far and away our most likely starting lineup, with Collin also playing starter level minutes.

For some reason I think Collin is in the starting lineup, if for no other reason than leadership.  Just a hunch ...
