If Archie wanted that job, he would've stayed at Dayton.

I tend to agree because Matta was already coming under fire and in all likelihood the situation wasn't going to get any better for him next season.  I think Archie would have waited another year if that's the job he truly coveted.

Why would OSU be his dream job? He didn't even want to go to his Alma Mater. Pretty clear that Archie wanted to be at a basketball school.

They prob mentioned it in some interview once upon a time, because he was an assistant there and he said something mildly positive and OSU fans embellished from there.

“IU is one of the greatest basketball programs and academic institutions in the country and I cannot wait to get started,” Miller said in a news release. “With peerless fan support, outstanding facilities and tradition, a beautiful campus, and located in one of the most fertile recruiting areas in the country, IU is a dream destination for me and my family.”

Are they gonna hire T.C.?

Wouldn't those tOSU fans hate that!

I saw something a bit ago, that considering current conditions, they might be left with little choice.

I expect Mack first choice and Cronin second choice.

Their list looks a lot like the list we had for Indiana, except for maybe Marshall. I think we made a very solid hire

Very odd timing. What fundamentally changed in the last 2-3mos? I don't doubt Smith knows what he's doing- but seems peculiar. Unfortunately, I expect O$U to get someone solid if not very good. I saw Tony Bennet mentioned someplace too. I hope not.

I think they were going to give Matta this year. I think the last few open recruiting periods were telling for his health and a change was made.
