Lost in OT warren hit a shot with .8 sec. TJD missed a shot at the buzzer to tie

Looked like a 3 for the win he missed...Warren always finds a way. I think high school needs a shot clock bad. Warren had the ball for all but 30 seconds of the overtime...can't fault them for taking advantage of no shot clock though.

Not having a shot clock is one of the most antiquated things in all of sports.  They need it bad, even if it's 45 seconds.

For the love of Pete, yes.

There was a local high school whose previous HC would let the team run an offense for the first 3 minutes of a quarter, then when the clock hit the 5 minute mark he would have them run a 3 guard weave up top until they got a wide open look, lost the ball, or the opposition just gave up and let them hold the ball. It was incredibly annoying.

We played a team in HS that did that exact same thing. It’s frustrating.

I don't care one way or the other. We had an interesting discussion on this topic on IHSS.org . It is a forum to talk about Illinois High School sports. Unfortunately, I can't share a link because only paid members can access the basketball forums during the season.
Mainly, the people were concerned about the purchase, installation, operating costs and every school being able to find competent people to volunteer to operate the clock, especially if it must also be introduced to the lower levels. I can agree with their argument. I keep the book at the F/S level for our school and many times the other school has a player or manager keeping the book. They wouldn't be able to find shot clock operators.

Sorry about hijacking the thread.

TJD doesn’t want to play tonight. Worst game I’ve seen him play in a while. Down 8 in the 4th. Probably 6 points

Seeing the game score, does anyone on CG want to play tonight?  25 points for the team after 3 quarters!
