There's nothing wrong with that statement. He has won here. He has landed good recruits here (and recruited Missouri well). And Mizzou is a good fit. Crean not quite reaching the high expectations of IU does not mean he isn't a good coach or could not have success at another program.

I definitely wouldn't say he's a "true winner" and I'm not talking about that statement alone, I'm talking about all the people on twitter that seem to think Crean should never get fired.

This is what I wish most would realize. We may not want him anymore but you dont win two outright titles in the B1G if your not a good coach. He has been an above average recruiter too. I don't see how you could even argue that he was worse than average. At Mizzou he would be at a program that doesnt even expect the success he has had here. They are probably happy with years like this one with the tourney every other year or so. Js. I like to joke about other schools taking him from us as doing us a favor but in reality they will get a good coach. Just not good enough for IU.

That guy who tweeted that is clearly from Kansas City and most likely a Mizzou fan. So it seems like he would want Crean to be pushed out at IU.

Now we're gonna start with this "Crean is a good coach" ****? For real? Get out of here with that

Hey thanks for the great insight! Maybe get out of the IU bubble once in a while and actually think critically about the situation. Oh and if you want to curse me out, go for it. Not a fan of the asterisks.

I do not really see how it's so crazy to think that Crean is a good coach, but not a great one, and no longer cut out for the Indiana job. Look around at college basketball. There are a lot of bad coaches out there. Why do you think our shortlist of coaches is so short and headed by someone who's not even coaching in college?
