I turned off last nights game early for the first time ever. You just know this team isn't going to come back on the road because our coach doesn't understand how to coach a junior high level defense. This is my first post but I used to be on the old Scout site and I'm over at 24/7 with a different name. I just get tired if that other board because if you say fire tom Crean its seen as taboo. Welcome. Some of those posters are why I made the jump (I was on Scout under a different name), although it seems the Crean does no wrong crowd is outnumbered even over there although HTD will go down with the ship because there's just no hope for him. I really hope that when Crean goes, HTD will be ok. But having said that, he makes that site unbearable! I get pissed every time I try to read his posts. I get loving IU but I just had to leave the site because it was over whelming. 8bucks 1 Quote
Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Many of our posters cite our injuries as a reason CTC will be around for another year. I'm not so sure. I don't think injuries are a plausible excuse CTC can use in his own defense. Look around just this year. How many games has Phil Booth missed for 'Nova? Look at Dukies' injury list; Theo Pinson at NC and those are just a couple off the top of my head. Self suspends Carlton Bragg and they still beat pUKe. Consistently well-coached teams find ways to overcome these kinds of adversities and remain competitive. I said the same thing. I completely agree. Still 4 top 50 kids along w Juwan Morgan who was under ranked even after injuries. You have to recruit and develop like your gonna anticipate some injuries. Most the B1G teams now don't have as much talent as we do still. Wisconsin, MSU, Purdue and maybe Maryland. Were right on par with even those teams sides MSU. Their full of freshmen though. Haha HTD I can't even argue with the guy because he's always pumped about some aspect of the IU program even when we are playing terrible. Quote

Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Yea, I don't even care what recruits we keep. My point was more about the fact that if Crean had a stellar recruiting class coming in, he would be in a much better position. Instead he is fully exposed. He doesn't have talent that can change a program coming in like UCLA had with Ball and Leaf or he would have been fired. I really like Moore though. I think he has star potential honestly. It will just take a year or two of development. I would like to keep him and Smith. I like Durham, but I think a big would fill that spot better and so will a new coach likely. I know Tucker hasn't picked, but if he picks us the new coach would definitely wanna keep him around.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

"MSU lost, FIRE IZZO!", but there is a huge difference between Izzo and Crean. I mainly came here because I was invited by a former mod, but HTD and some of the others are why I completely abandoned that site. Lately I've visited a couple times to see what mental gymnastics HTD will perform to justify keeping Crean; that guy once said he thought Crean was a better coach than Brad Stevens. Haha oh I know, he had a thread up now or did recently talking about how bad OU was doing this year and other teams that have either won a NC or at least have made the FF in the past 5 years. Only difference is he and others don't seem to realize is that those coaches have all made it further than Crean in the past five years. Another example was Kevin Ollie and how uconn is struggling so bad but then he fails to mention he won a NC two or maybe three years ago. Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appI didn't get to watch the game because of work, but recorded it in case I felt like watching it after. I plan on it later today, but first game I didn't watch in the same day of in a very long time and that lineup right there sums up why. I have no clue why this is the first I have seen it mentioned. Davis and Bryant need to play together a lot more. I would like a lineup of DG, RoJo, Juwan, Davis and TB. That should be the starters. When JBJ comes back rotate him in for Juwan. I love Juwan but he is much better off the bench. It is sad even with injuries I can figure out good lineups and possibilities but yet Crean throws out that stupid s**t as a lineup. I think he wants fired sometimes.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app CrossboneIU22 1 Quote
