Critical stretch for Crean. 2-3 puts us at 3-5 with 4 out of 5 on the road to finish conference play. Not counting at Wisky. Does Crean get an extension with a .500 conference record??

We do seem to play better and Crean seems to Coach better when our backs are against the wall----Crean seems to thrive with the underdog --chip on the shoulder---role and he is going to have to do so again this year.  With all our talent I agree we MUST finish above .500 in the BIG.  If we don't I still think he gets the extension UNLESS Glass can land a big fish behind the scenes--like a Stevens. Just my 2 cents.

The only thing keeping me even slightly interested in games at this point is the name on the front of the jersey.  If Crean gets an extension it may be the last time I ever watch a game.  He doesn't deserve one, and 10 years is more than long enough to keep a proven mediocre coach around.

I agree but there was a little bit of chest pumping going on after beating illinois so I think some thought the corner was turned.

Ha, by who? Only thing I have seen was people such as yourself quick to beat any thought down that wasn't negative. Just because people post positive things doesn't mean they have felt a corner was turned. Plus, I have seen at least 90/10 negative even after that win so I have no clue what you are even reading.

We're going to beat Rutgers but every other game of the next 6 is very losable. Izzo will probably be making the corner with his team by the time they come to Bloomington and much like Pitino, Izzo knows how to pressure Crean teams out on the perimeter. Tough stretch coming boys. Buckle up.

Agree but in the end I don't think much of it matters. I don't think CTC is the long term guy anymore. Does it matter what this years team does? Would it really change the feeling that IU can and should do better than CTC?

I'm happy when they win and bummed, mad, frustrated when they lose. Doesn't change my outlook that IU won't be what they once were as long as CTC is at the helm.

I am seeing this a lot on Twitter. I am just really blown away by this. We have a rough season and so many are turning their backs on him, even though he has led IU out of the dark times. What do you think? Are you on the "Fire Tom Crean" train?

This isnt even our toughest stretch. The last 6 to close out the big ten are.

Yup. I want Crean fired as much as anyone, but that doesn't mean I don't still root like hell for us to win. Regardless of the opponent.
