Alford Bailey Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 one that wins on neutral courts for starters. He hasnt been able to get it done in Bankers Life loaded with IU fans, again, 50 miles from campus. MikeRoberts 1 Quote
Bowhunter Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Crean seemed to be trying to save Yogi for tomorrow. I don't like Neigo in the game during critical stretches. I think this loss is devastating and the next team we play will be just as desperate as Michigan was today. Officials didn't help us any. I'm not asking for home cooking.. just get the damn call right! WayneFleekHoosier, MikeRoberts and Alford Bailey 3 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 One game tells you that! Wow! Small sample sizes are awesome. SPORTZ 6-12 in postseason games. 1-8 without Zeller I think Alford Bailey, Happydaze, 8bucks and 2 others 5 Quote
Defenserocks28 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I'm waiting for anyone to note the differences in how you coach the games Well, the Warriors changed their starting entire line up and game plan to beat Cleveland last years in the finals. Here's Mark Cuban talking about how the Mavericks adjusted their style of play to shut down LeBron in the Finals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAkVnlA9CJo Quote

Crean probably planned in those minutes for Niegro and if we are hitting threes nobody cares. But we werent and we needed our 1st team All Big guy on the floor. Quote

KingPG21 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Wow some of the responses are pathetic... Because of one game, we now have no chance at anything? That seems ill-advised... WTF is a "tournament coach" ???! Kind of like guys coming here because one season and coming here and acting like it completely supersedes everything else we've ever seen from Crean. Dalton26 1 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 18 games is too small of a sample size LOL Not when there's this much of a disparity Quote
Alford Bailey Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I gave Crean the respect due after the outright title. Well done. But today was vintage Crean post season edition. He proved he could finish the regular season well. He has yet to prove he can accomplish much of anything post season. That is a FAIR critique. HoosierAloha Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I'm waiting for anyone to note the differences in how you coach the games There are a TON of differences. Just a few - You stop runs (Crean weakness) - You play more to your strengths and make the opponent pay when they take it away - You have your team prepared and ready to play and understand the implications - You take TOs in crucial times to stop runs and draw plays to get buckets IU/Crean did not do enough of those to earn the win today. WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 People can say lucky shot. What about the 3 before and the defense. No TOs down the stretch. Our final offensive possession was garbage. Didn't guard the three well the entire game. Good teams and coaches don't lose that game. Trish, HoosierAloha, Defenserocks28 and 1 other 4 Quote

More minutes for best/most effective players. I don't care if Yogi plays 40 minutes. Yogi wouldn't care. No walk ons. Plays created for matchup differences. Play through injuries if possible. Treat every single possession like it's your last. For me today it was playing time and lack of TOs mostly. I bet Rob could have played. Quote

coonhounds Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Not giving up but let's face it this hurts our seeding and kills momentum. If we lose in first two games of ncaa a big title won't mean much to me. Time to watch michigan st and the rest of the good teams go far while we go home. Brass Cannon Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 At some point we could consider thinking about potentially developing a half court offense philosophy as well how many times does something have to bite Crean before he learns Quote
