As I've said before, if Glass' mind was made up, Crean would already be fired. Glass has always been hoping Crean could go on a run like last year to save himself.

 

If he thinks a NIT run changes anything, he'll be in for a big surprise.

 

Next year, as I see it, could be an ugly year all around for IUBB.

There may be 19 jobs but only a few (if any) would be willing to pony up for his $3M price tag that (based on what we've heard out of Missou) he feels he deserves.  I would expect him to try and weather the storm at IU, making Glass fire him and pay the buy out, before taking a job at like George Washington.

He shouldn't be fired, but he doesn't understand why they want to stay in the marriage? What the hell does that even mean? It can't be both.

One thing is for certain....his understanding of contract law and ability to negotiate is high level.

I'm reserving judgement, on Glass' ability, until we know for certain that a change is being made or not. He really frustrated me with the extension and now this NIT hosting fiasco, but I don't have a clue what is going on behind closed doors. I don't trust a single "source" and any information they have. I get the feeling that everyone will be left with their jaws on the ground, after we find out the true resolution. Don't think Crean is back. Don't trust the University to make a great hire. Fully expect to hear some name that makes zero sense.
