mdn82 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Are people saying that he would transfer to follow Crean wherever he ends up, or that he would transfer to wherever to 'get back at us' for getting rid of Crean?Sounded like follow Crean or closer to home.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote
Popular Post HoosierTrav Posted February 13, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2017 If we were to land Donovan a player would be a fool to leave this programI question a person's ability to reason and rationalize when I see them question Billy Donovan's potential at Indiana. He would dominate. Especially now that he can pull the "I was an NBA coach" card. It matters. thebigweave, Alford Bailey, ALASKA HOOSIER and 6 others 9 Quote
CandyStripers Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Am I the only one who thinks Stevens and Donovan are not even a remote possibility? Don't see either one leaving the NBA for IU. They both have a pretty good thing going in the pros.Sent from my SM-G930V using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Sent from my SM-G930V using BtownBanners mobile app I don't think Stevens is a realistic possibility, at least not right now, but I think Donovan is more realistic. His team is meh right now and if Westbrook leaves then they'll be very bad. The situation he's in now isn't the one he thought he was leaving Florida for. It's still a long shot, but I think the chance is there. BtownBanner6 and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Billy Donovan has won 2 national championships as a HC. The guy had consistent success at Florida and went toe to toe with Kentucky almost every year. Going toe to toe with Kentucky is not an easy thing to do. Donovan would bring consistent success and stability to IU. And I do think he is a very good possibility. Westbrook is gonna leave for the Lakers soon and that team will have nothing. Go back to college and restore IU to what they used to be. He'd be a God ALASKA HOOSIER, Hoosierfan2017, hsrtxp and 4 others 7 Quote

Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app At this point I don't think there is anything he can that would get me back on his side. Although if he said he resigns effective immediately it'd give me a more optimistic outlook for the future of the program, pending the administration not botching the hire at least. Haha yeah that's probably true. But as far as I'm concerned, if a coach is great at IU, he's gonna be considered a God. This is a basketball school and a basketball state. There are people who used to be IU fans that are just waiting for a coach to get behind. This program just needs the right hire and it will be back to where we all want it to be ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

There is no post in Crean's offense, there are perimeter players and players he wants on the perimeter; kind of like there are no bad shots, only bad decisions to not shoot. 30 feet away with 5 players guarding you? Perfect time to force a stupid shot. ALASKA HOOSIER and reconmkd 2 Quote
