No disrespect to NW, they a good basketball team this season. Pay attention Fred, our program has gotten to this! Idc, that we are 3 starters down. We should NEVER be 6.5 dogs to NW!!! The only way Michigan was going to win was by their offense (us not guarding anyone helped with that) Michigan was never going to win with their defense. Northwestern on the other hand relies on their defense to win. Their offense isn't as good as their defense meaning if they don't score well they tend to let teams hang around and win ugly with their defense. Now when the ball is tipped they could come out and hit everything the shoot because it's college basketball who really knows Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
ALASKA HOOSIER Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 I think this might be the most excited I have been for a game since before IPFW. Here are things to be pumped about that got me giddy, and I'm sure are going to push us past this nightmare and in the final four.1. De'Ron can play the post. 2. Less substitutions since we don't have all the players to use now.3. Less than 16 turnovers per game. With us slowing down the game and feeding the post, we should have less.4. A simple defense. Our starters are all gone so CTC will have to use only a simple zone or something.5. Bryant can play the 2 where he obviously feels more comfortable.6. We don't have to worry about jbj hurting his knee since it has already happened.Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha 1 Quote
VO5 Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Well when your half-court offense is to pass around the perimeter in a weave-like fashion with minimal screening and a lot of 1 on 1 action, you won't beat many teams who play solid team D. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

This year they have beaten teams with a better defensive rating then northwestern. Having said that I agree I will never like the weave Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Stuhoo and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 IU would be very fortunate to win this game. Offense will probably not be too good since Northwestern likes to play defense. Defense will be atrocious as always. There is also a much better coach on the opposite sideline. And the Wildcats are a flat out better team than the Hoosiers. Northwestern is viewing this as a trap game and that's just absolutely unacceptable from an IU perspective hsrtxp 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Per JBJ's dad, it doesn't sound as bad as we all feared. I posted his full report on the JBJ Out Indefinitely thread. Might just be a couple of games; not the remainder of the season. ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

Has a fantastic feel and game in the post. More minutes please!!!!Now for TB, I think Dakich said it best a week or so ago. Bryant has lost/forgotten what kind of player he is. He has lost his identity! Get your ass down on the block and keep it there man! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 That's good that Devonte is starting. He need way more playing time. So does Cujo and Davis. Might as well give the freshman a lot of playing time HoosierAloha, reconmkd and FortWayneHoosier 3 Quote
