Garcia's OVs-- Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue, Louisville, and had just been offered by Georgia a month before he committed to IU.

Offer lists are 100% more indicative than ranking. But a true freshman as a top four DT on a ranked P5 team would still be a revelation. RB or WR? Sure- that is easier to see happening than a offensive or defensive lineman.

No, it wouldn't. DTs play all the time. If your body is right, you're good to go. What FR RBs and WR play? Other than the top of the top?

And, again, why would we have two vet DTs--- one being Burris who played--- leave AFTER spring ball if this weren't the case? makes no sense. The only logical reason.... the FR are good.

Nail on the head!! And Garcia is ALL FREAKIN IN on IUFB. Last year he was extremely active on social media and you can just tell he's all about team ball. I really hope it works out for him. I like his passion a lot.

With Kamara moving to the STUD position replacing Carr, guessing the two new transfers (Daley and Wyatt) will compete to fill Kamara's vacancy on the other side of the line. Also think Landino moves inside. Like Garcia a lot and think he will get some snaps early, but guess he preserves a redshirt unless there is an injury. Staff was working hard to add the Ohio DT who ended up at Maryland so they may not be done.

Big day for CCC and Crew, the program received a commit from their third '26 recruit in '3* DT Rodney White.  Decent offer list for the Maryland DT, most recently from the likes of Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Pitt, and a host of mid's.

Seeing LB Jamari Farmar and DE Ta'Derius Collins have entered the portal.  I'm guessing Collins's move is in response to the recent portal additions.  I am guessing there is more to the Farmar story as he came on campus in January.

Class of'26 3* Decatur Central CB Kasmir Hicks announced his commitment to Indiana this morning, 4/25.  This is a big one, the staff has worked hard to get the upper echelon of in-state recruits and Hicks is the byproduct of these efforts.  Separately, it's nice to see the CCC & crew go head-to-head with Wisconsin, Louisville, Michigan St., Vandy, etc. to pull the commitment.  Lots to like here in the immediate and long-term future.

Uh, check out #4. Obviously meaningless but if there are similar ratings to this 9 months from now it’s fair to assume that IUFB will have proven last season was not a fluke.

Nate knows his stuff too, especially with QBs. Nothing is gospel when it comes to prospect scouting, but I really respect his opinion.

I've been trying to say to anyone that will listen to my sorry arse, on paper, IUFB upgraded its 2025 roster compared to an 11-2 2024 CFP roster and last season was not a fluke.  Coaching matters.

I'm tired of hearing from all the skeptical folk (fans included) in my neck of the woods. The whole "they didn't play anybody" message is stale and gets old. I get it, being the door mat for pretty much the entire existence of the program is ingrained in the these folk's DNA. But man, if these folks actually watched football they'd understand the door mat days are no longer a thing in Bloomington (Just so long as Coach Cig is still here). I'm tired of explaining to these folk that IUFB curb stomped 9 out of 3 (2 of those 3 played in the CFP Championship game) of their opponents last year. Like absolutely destroyed and completely dominated their opponents. And then having to explain to them that these very same opponents played other games on their own schedule. And how they played against like opponents. And how good teams don't play close games against weaker teams. And just like ND, we beat those effs up north 66-0 for crying out loud!!!!  Etc. etc. Hopefully after this year all the Herbstreits will take a seat and just shut the eff up.

The casual fan still thinks pre-Cig  IU football. Anyone who watched the games last year saw an entirely different animal. They were tough, disciplined, talented, and relentless. In all my years watching IU football, dating to the late 50's, last year was the most enjoyable and it's not even close. I'm so looking forward to the start of another great year.

Same team, except my watching IU football started in the 80s. Aside from the Joe Huff days, last year's team was the most fundamental football team I've seen wear the Cream and Crimson. And we're basically getting the same coaching staff from last year that will be coaching upgraded players. This year we'll probably get a lot more closer games. There's 4 (Illini, at Iowa, at PSU, at Ducks) games on the schedule that will be dawg fights. And the cat's out of the bag, there's no chance a school is ever going to overlook IUFB anymore. We'll be in some battles this season for sure.
