IU vs. Rutgers official game thread

Notre dame game was a neutral court game against a team with a pulse and a possible tournament team at the time. This game was at home against Rutgers. I don't feel they are even remotely close. Unless I missed u hitting the sarcasm button.

This game was also much closer than the score IMO. If Rutgers could have hit a free throw its a 10 point game or less.

I did not feel that it was any closer then the score. The crowd or at least my section never got restless. If iu could of hit better then 4-23 from 3 point line it's a 25 point or more game. Just my opinion

The way this team is shooting as of late should not have taken 25 3 point shots.

After the first 10 minutes or so once our players woke up the outcome was never in question. Rutgers doesn't have the horses to compete with us, especially at home. We didn't play well and it never seemed like our guys were really into the game, though. Nothing about it felt like a turning point. It's nice to pick up a conference win but it doesn't really make me feel any better about our team than the early cupcake wins did. It was just an ugly win against a bad team. On to Penn State.

A win against penn state on the road would prove alot about this teams heart. Crean is great with his back up against the wall.

Because of Crean ripping him?? If that gets to him then better off he's gone. I'd like a tougher player in that case.

Now if Crean limits his playing time over that, then that would bother me.

Combination of things. One being the fact that Crean left starters in until 1:30 left in the game. The other reason I think he's transferring is bc he is clearly showing that he's the better player between he and Newkirk, yet Newkirk is getting his minutes. With Newkirk not going anywhere next season, i have a feeling that Green may seek opportunity elsewhere.

I'm having a really difficult time understanding the euphoria after today's game.  We did take better care of the ball, and we saw a team that didn't come in, out hustle us, out-rebound us by 9, and show us exactly what it looks like when you "play hard," but you're careless with the ball.  They had 5 assists and 21 turnovers.  The level to which that's awful is laughable.    We - finally - had more assists than turnovers, and we won comfortably.  We were able to run, created turnovers for touchdowns, and I just don't understand why this formula is so difficult.

That said, we did not play well, and didn't exactly impress against the last place (0-6) team in our league.   Why are so many looking at this and seeing signs of a turnaround?   Only the lack of turnovers for....35 minutes or so (last couple of minutes of each half were bad) were much better than we've seen, and 4-22 from deep will get us beat 90% of the time.

Green wont go anywhere. Once crean gets extended most of these guys will stay. Should be a top ten team preseason.

Top 10 Preseason next year. Now that's funny. We could be ranked top 5 next year and it wouldn't change a damn thing. This is still a Tom Crean program, each game is the same outside of a "couple".
