This team has zero leadership along with a terrible coach so chances of them turning this thing around are slim to none. Of course, do I think we will win those games? At this point, no. Of course those are outstanding wins, but they're not enough to get us into the tournament. I could see this team falling off the cliff and going sub-.500 in the Big 10. We lack leadership on the court and the players have no one on the sideline they can look to for it. I think every loss puts more doubt into their heads. TB and OG are MIA, and our schedule only gets harder from here on out. A couple weeks ago I said I thought we might miss the tournament. At that point I hoped I was just being a prisoner of the moment and overreacting, but now I think there's a legitimate chance of it happening. This might get ugly... Biggest waste of talent I can remember I am usually very positive in my outlook... but unless something changes i don't see 10-8 at all, 9-9 is very possible but looking at the rest of our schedule i am thinking we could very easily end up 8-10... going 7-7 the rest of the way would not shock me... Coaching is the easy answer but it makes me wonder if something is going on internally. Crean's teams are known for peaking early but they've been on a downward spiral since late November... It's SO easy to second guess coaching at this point, but sometimes I wonder if Crean is so focused on getting individuals better (and he comments on that A LOT), that he forgets the importance of getting better as a TEAM and playing together better as a TEAM. He might assume that if all of the players are getting better individually that it'll translate to an improved team without him really having to focus on it.
