Chicago Cubs Thread

Recommended Posts

Schwarber returned to the field this past Saturday playing for the Mesa Solar Sox out in Arizona. Even though he went 0-3, it was encouraging to see him out there and there have been reports of him joining the Cubs for the World Series.

10/22 @thekapman: I just spoke with Theo about Kyle Schwarber. Says he's a month ahead of schedule. They will watch him via video. Definitely a possibility.

Edit: Cubs: Joe Maddon says "it's a possibility" Kyle Schwarber makes World Series roster; will discuss in staff meeting Mon. (ESPN)

Not that my 2 cents matter, but here it is.

I'm torn on this series. I love Schwarber and Zobrist. Schwarber for his IU ties and Zobrist for his service (and his wife's) in Tampa Bay.

But then there's Joe Maddon, a man who quit on Tampa Bay, yet opened a restaurant in South Tampa to use us as a revenue stream. Screw him.

A real love/hate thing with the Cubs.

Then again, I know nothing about Cleveland or baseball in general. Baseball is the most boring pasttime, and yes I'm including tidily winks.

I hope somehow Schwarber wins and everybody else loses. Go Hoosiers

Can completely agree with that last little paragraph.
