I haven't looked for a link yet, and I know there are some Gregg Doyel pundits here, but I was listening to Freddie and Fitz on ESPN radio during my drive home early this morning and he was blasting McDaniels relentlessly. I've never heard a member of the media so blatant, but I'm glad he was. McDaniels is a turd. I'm indifferent to Doyel so I found it pretty entertaining. It'll be on their podcast if I can't find a link to it.

Yeah I give Doyel credit for calling this one right from the beginning.  He's a slimy little rat.  Colts shouldn't have hired him anyway, but I think he did us a favor.  Better one embarrassing offseason move than 2-3 years under his control.  The dude is toxic.

ESPN couldn't wait to come to his defense.  Their first article was to defend the choice, calling him a family man.  Truly unbelievable.  Report what a d-bag he is.  That's the story.

If he was truly concerned about moving his family, he would have never entertained the offer in the first place. Did someone just tell him that he had a family? that they would have to move? Seems like a real forward thinker.

I’m assuming the guys they’re set to interview probably have some sort of connection. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

Lol its going to be so funny in a few years when the Pats hire somebody else who can coach to replace BB. And leaves Mcdaniels out in the cold.

It's pretty salty in here for sure!
Seriously though, you Colts fans dodged a bullet.  I was living in Denver when McDaniels coached there.  I saw firsthand how terrible of a coach the guy was.  Consider yourself lucky in the long-term.

Yeah, I was never all that impressed with him in Denver from a coaching standpoint.

However, I didn't know the extent of his personality flaws until I heard Doyel speak on his time in Denver and some of the accounts he's heard. I definitely don't want that here. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised though; some level of douchebaggery is pretty much required to work where he's been working.

The biggest thing is the point Doyel made about his coordinators. He hires them, (they've signed I believe), they start to relocate their families, and then he doesn't even tell them he's bailing. The report was that they found out via Twitter. Incredible.

If people are interested watch the Ballard press conference. Dude seems legit pissed. Apparently said there was no attempt at persuading McDaniels after he backed out, this was after McDaniels apparently pussyfooted around backing out. Went on to say he wants a coach that was all in on this organization.

The wanting one that is all in on this organization makes me glad that weasel won't have any part of this team. Probably would have bolted at any given moment.

Instead of recycling old coaches, let's make some noise. Interview Dabo Swinney

I like this.  The NFL and NBA are notorious for this.  I'd like to see some new blood.  It definitely worked out for McVay and the Rams.
