The #Jets acquired the No. 3 overall pick from the #Colts for their No. 6 pick, 37th and 49th overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft and second-round pick in 2019. ThompsonHoosier Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Colts just traded the 3rd overall pick with the Jets (6th overall) PLUS the Jets 2 2nd round picks this year AND their 2nd round pick next year....Ballard just robbed that organization. KingPG21 Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 So I wanted to try and fleece the Bills for their first next year, but I love this trade. Need to take Nelson with the 6th pick. Quote
Dalton26 Posted March 17, 2018 Author Posted March 17, 2018 Love this trade. Chubb and Nelson may still be there at 6 because now there will be a run on QB’sSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ThompsonHoosier, theriverpilot and mamasa 3 Quote

We need a CB but I think he's better at Safety and the Colts are pretty strong there. I bet one (maybe 2) of our 2nd rounders is a CB, there's pretty good depth there this year. Quote

If Nelson is there and you got those picks, wow. Dude is going to be a beast. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app IUfan_Charlie 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 So I don't know if you guys saw the Ballard interview, but I'm kind of fully expecting a trade with Buffalo on draft night. One of the QBs they want will fall, and we'll get more high end draft picks. akinnaird24 and thebigweave 2 Quote

Sammie Watkins? Overpay. Butler? Overpay. Do you guys think you would go after Suh? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Just saw this No. He is fine as a player, but he doesn't fit Ballard's MO. I'd expect more high character, locker room vets with the youth movement he is trying to fast forward right now mdn82 1 Quote

8bucks Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 The colts have a lot of salary cap space still. I thought they would get more players despite Ballard saying they would build through the draft. Weren't there some guys we could have gone after that were restricted FA? Since that has not happened what happens with that salary cap space? Can they accelerate $ for guys already under contract so that we are not struggling to resign them down the road? It seems that overspending on some FAs is better than not using that so there must be some other options (like accelerating payments to guys like Luck). Anyone have thoughts on what to expect regarding this salary cap space. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

And other things along those lines, could see trades for teams looking to shed more contracts too. Eh, guess I'm not too concerned about it, plan has never been to build through free agency, and we aren't close to contending Quote

KingPG21 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Apparently the Bills are trying like crazy to trade up for QB. I really hope one falls to us, if we can get both first this year, then somehow fleece them for next year's first and second it would be kind of amazing thebigweave and 8bucks 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Was looking through Twitter tonight and Saquon Barkley is one lucky dude. His GF is pregnant and due soon. She is also gorgeous. Wish the Colts could have drafted Barkley. Being a colts fan the past few years has been brutal. Need to figure out what’s up with Luck and hopefully increase talent at about every position. KingPG21 Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Roquan Smith is visiting the Colts today. Would love drafting him, fits a need, weakest position on the team currecntly Quote
