Anyone looking for some world-class comic relief? Take my advice and start wandering through Bears' twitter. They have lost their collective mind over the #1 pick. Apparently, Jesus is at the top of this draft. Currently, I'm following some guys who are debating whether to accept the Colts "current offer" of their 1st, 2nd and 3rd this year, their 1st and 2nd next year plus DeForest Buckner, or  SHOULD THEY HOLD OUT FOR MORE?

Bwahahahahahahaha. I love this

I don’t know, there are questions about Jesus’ arm strength.

You need to get into “just bein’ a realist” Bears Twitter. They think the Bears are going to get a pick swap and a 2025 6th rounder from the Colts.

Us grounded fans are just looking for a package like:

Colts get: 2023 1:1

Bears get: 2023 1:4, 2023 2nd, 2024 1st, 2024 3rd, 2025 1st, Buckner, Pittman, Lucas Oil Stadium, and the right to Johnny Unitas’ career stats to use as our best QB in franchise history.

Idk feel like you could tinker with some things in there but it’s a start.

In fairness to Bears twitter, it’s only slightly more nuts than a segment of  Colts twitter having decided that Anthony Richardson is going to re-define the game. They might take your deal.

As a closeted Florida football fan, I'm a little closer to that segment than I'd care to admit in my public life.

Interesting/sad piece about Irv Cross, who died two years ago today. Shows the dangers of CTE and how its effects might not kick in till years later.

Watched Irv for many years on the CBS pregame show and you'd never guess there was anything wrong.

He's originally from Hammond -- my neck of the woods.

Colts leadership is beyond fake and disappointing. They talked so nuch about going with a young QB, and not wanting to pursue a vet QB,  Now they are talking to Carr. All they do is say what they think fans want to hear then do the opposite, or tell us we're all dumb and don't know whats going on.

I know it's not popular, but given the QB's in this draft, I have wondered why they weren't reaching out to someone like Carr for 1-2 years to give the young QB a chance to develop. They can get Carr and still get a QB in the draft.

This is probably the way. I'm not convinced any of the big 4 step in and do anything of substance year one. If I had to pick one to be a serviceable starter day 1 it would be Stroud, but I wouldn't put any money on it.
