Packers holder botched the hold on their second touchdown, just kind of handed it to the kicker. He kind of got taken down pretty hard too. Next one Packers we’re trying to go up 17 rather than 16. And the owne by the Rams they were trying to get it to 7 rather than 8

I've never understood going for 2 to make it a 7 point game instead of 8. If you miss, you're still down 2 scores.

Yah neither do I.

I guess the logic is it gives you a better idea of what you’re gonna have to get to get back in it? But that logic is dumb when you’re just forcing yourself to have to score twice

There's plenty of time to make a plan, it's not like he quit with two weeks before the first game.  Who would do that lol

Brissett?  Eason?

Would be awesome though.  I like Darnold enough too.

Pass on Wentz.  His contract and his play.

Tend to agree. Just seems like a real possibility with Reich having already built a rapport with Wentz. Don't really want him either.

I just read that the Eagles are all in on keeping Wentz.  That makes me happy

I'd have to think that Eason gets his shot next year.  Otherwise Ballard is essentially admitting to throwing away a 4th rounder.  Probably gonna be a Brissett/Eason qb room

On Dan Patrick today he said he was told the Colts were all set to take Jordan Love and the packers found out and snaked us. Eason was the fall back option. Makes me think they viewed Eason as a 2 year project to get ready and hoped Phil would give them 2 years.
I’m not opposed to giving Darnold a shot if it’s a team friendly deal.

That makes no sense.

Why would the Packers have any incentive to screw the Colts, a team in the other conference they have no connection to? I am not doubting Patrick said it, but I am just not sure that is true as Packers would have zero reason to screw Colts.

I don't think it was to screw the colts necessarily, they wanted him also but found out they couldn't wait so had to pull the trigger earlier than they had planned.

Wonder how the Colts feel about Trey Lance then. Similar type of prospect.

if so that tells me the Colts' "Luck-Rivers" window has closed and it's officially a rebuild--don't see either of those QBs leading the Colts to the Super Bowl, no matter how good the OL and RBs are

I'd rather try for Stafford--he at least has had some "elite" seasons before his injuries piled up. Darnold hasn't shown me much so far, and just putting him behind the Colts' OL doesn't guarantee his play will improve dramatically.

To me, he's essentially a more mobile Eason with less arm talent. Rather than give up draft capital for him and hope he "blossoms" w/ the Colts, I'd almost prefer to try to sign Fitzpatrick for a year and make Eason the starter-in-waiting. And maybe also sign one of the free agent OTs and use #21 on either a premier CB if one's there, or on one of the edge rushers who probably will be there.
