LIHoosier Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Must be a dead week. NESPN Gameday went to Western Michigan hosting SUNY Buffalo; probably the worst team in FBS. They could've gone to Harvard/Yale or maybe a high school game in Montana. Quote
biteoftheapple Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 MSU scores on OSU in the first 45 seconds, and forces a punt in the Buckeye possesion.Tied at half at 10.OSU will win, 17-16. MSU missed a 2 pt conversion with over 4 remaining. hsrtxp and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
TheWatShot Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 What an absolutely pathetic final sequence for MSU. They'll probably beat PSU next week and send the Buckeyes back to the Big Ten title game. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 MSU not just tying it with XP at home is pretty controversial IMO. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 ND (4-7) coughed up a 17 point lead at home and lost to Va Tech 34-31. Even Touchdown Jesus may not be able to save Brian Kelly. Alford Bailey and LIHoosier 2 Quote
LIHoosier Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 TD Jesus won't save Charlie Strong either. Texas lost in OT to Kansas, 24-21. Kansas' 1st Big 12 win in 2 years. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 ND fans are already livid the way this season has gone; they'll be jumping off cliffs over this. Just saw same thing. One additional football student-athlete committed academic misconduct on his own. Quote

akhosrof Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I hate ND as much as the next guy but the NCAA's concept of vacating wins is stupid. Unless a team physically cheated (stole a playbook, intercepted radio signals, bugged the locker room, etc.), you can't change history. I am also vehemently against taking away scholarships. hsrtxp 1 Quote
Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 22, 2016 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2016 Great tweet from Stewart Mandel of FoxSports: If ND has to vacate 2 years' wins bc a few students committed fraud, shouldn't UNC have to vacate 17 years of wins? An excellent point. Wonder what the NCAA's answer would be. Hoosier Roots, akhosrof, ALASKA HOOSIER and 5 others 8 Quote

I had to laugh. NCAA forced tiny Thomas More college to vacate a national title in D3 womens basketball because a player stayed with a coach while recovering from knee surgery. Of course they dont generate the money of a UNC.... IUsafety, hsrtxp, Class of '66 Old Fart and 2 others 5 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 The NCAA doesn't make the crazy money on football like they do basketball. They'll sanction football programs while slapping basketball programs on the wrist. It's not about the money though... Quote

johnsoniu Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 They'll probably win the appeal. But the "student"- trainer was doing a lot more than writing papers. I like Bilas, but he should probably shut up if he doesn't know the entire situation, and judging from that tweet, he doesn't. Quote
