One thing you’ve got to say is what in the heck took them so long to go to an expanded playoff system? This is how college football always should have been. I’ve never been this dialed into so many difference games and conferences.

Exactly!!! I’m watching games of teams I would never be interested in!!!

The most corrupted thing that ever corrupted; the college bowl system.

Texas doesn’t want to win this game

Thankfully at least their defense does. Ewers I’m pretty sure dropped his Dr. Pepper paycheck on the Aggies moneyline

It’s fantastic.

I’ve always liked CFB but NEVER paid so much attention, and watched, so many late season games EVER. In the past who would have cared if USC or ND won a chance to go to the Poulan Weed Eater Bowl but this year the game meant A LOT. Would IU pass ND, will ND stay in the playoff, etc etc. Same with Syracuse/Miami, TN/Vandy, etc etc

Just great.

Non SMU fans invested themselves in what SMU did today....

They may have found a way to save college football.

That’s my guess.

Then we are cheering against Georgia and Clemson.  If they both lose bet we move up to 7th or 8th

Agree on Clemson, but if Georgia stays ahead of us in the Tuesday rankings, no way the committee will drop them if they lose the SEC title game.

Iowa State beats K-State today to get to 10 wins for the first time.

Ohio State, a 21-point favorite, loses to Michigan for the fourth straight time -- likely falling out of the Top 5 and blowing a berth in the B1G title game.

Iowa State coach Matt Campbell, who is 45, pretty much spent all but the past 8 years -- including his playing and coaching career -- in Ohio.

The O$U fan base seems ready to call it a day for Ryan Day.

Hmmm ...

USA Today projection prior to IU’s game with Purdue has IU moving to 9 in thd cfp rankings and Mismi falling to 10.  That’s what I would project as well.

Thst would mean the final spot would be Miami’s unless Clemson wins the ACC championship in which case Clemson would be in and Miami out

They’ve definitely signaled they wouldn’t punish a team for losing their conference championship, but I still think that only applies to getting in/not and not necessarily seeding. I think the way you lose is going to be a factor. If Georgia loses 38-7 to Texas, sure they stay in the field as a 3-loss team, but feel like they probably go from a 5 or 6 seed and hosting, to maybe a 9 or 10 seed on the road. It’s still another data point. No reason for them to ignore the result completely.
