People use Bama and Georiga as examples of ESPN's SEC bias. Programs like Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss are much better examples to me.  They aren't bad. But if you listened to ESPN they'd be the best teams in other conferences. Which just no

At least there’s a debate whether or not we can afford to fire our coach. MSU is tied to their $80 million, weighed down turd.

$95 million FULLY guaranteed. All but 10-15 quarterbacks in the NFL can't get a deal that good.

With the way college sports are now, every year there's going to be a coach who massively over-performs, gets massively overpaid, then sucks the following year. Two years ago it was us, last year it was MSU. Kansas was on track to be that team this year, but has scuffled as of late. Maybe they saw it coming after their 5-0 start and told their coach to dial it back a bit. lol

Something happen to Purdue's team before that Wisconsin game? I thought they were overrtaed, and the preseason Big West favorite talk had more to do with how easy a schedule they had. But man, they got pummeled by a decent Wisconsin team. And now after a week off they are getting dominated by a decent Iowa team at home

They have a "bad weather game" seemingly every year because they can't run the ball. In 2018, they got spanked at Minnesota when it was snowing. In 2019, they were about a minute away from getting shut out at home by Illinois with rain coming down in sheets. Minnesota beat them last year in the rain. Today the wind got ahold of some of O'Connell's throws and said "LOL, cute."

Wonder if Jimbo is long for Texas A&M. They've proven they are willing to just buy teams, so it shouldn't matter too much who the coach is for recruiting. Also good to see him losing. can't stand the guy

Jimbo got the Mel Tucker deal. Makes Tom's buyout look like freaking peanuts.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/jimbo-fisher-contract-buyout-how-much-money-texas-a-m-would-owe-coach-if-school-moves-on-from-mega-deal/

Fisher signed a 10-year, fully guaranteed contract extension on Sept. 1, 2021, that will pay him $95 million through 2031. If Texas A&M fires Fisher after the 2022 season, boosters would need to pony up nearly $86 million.

Many buyouts include offset clauses, which subtract any salary from new jobs from the buyout amount. No such clause exists in Fisher's contract. Here is Fisher's buyout if he is fired at the conclusion of each season:

2022: $85,950,000

2023: $76,800,000

2024: $67,550,000

2025: $58,200,000

2026: $48,750,000

2027: $39,200,000

2028: $29,550,000

2029: $19,800,000

2030: $9,950,000
