MadAboutIndiana Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Last summer many speculated that Crean would not be back this year and that he may proactively leave if a job opened up that he liked. Some though maybe that was Alabama but some folks that have been pretty neutral and somewhat connected suggested the Pitt job would have appeal to him. Dixon was a candidate for some job last year too and the rumor said that if Pitt were open, Crean and Glass would reach an agreement where he left for that job. Ahh ok. Had forgotten that Crean spent a year at Pitt under Willard Wouldn't be a good look for Indiana if he were to leave on his own accord. I mean, that's not gonna happen... Right? Have a hard time believing in that at this point Quote
8bucks Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Ahh ok. Had forgotten that Crean spent a year at Pitt under Willard Wouldn't be a good look for Indiana if he were to leave on his own accord. I mean, that's not gonna happen... Right? Have a hard time believing in that at this point Last year I think it was at least plausible. There were a few articles that talked about how people were treating his family poorly and it was clear they got the info from him. No reason to redebate those articles except to point out he had some concerns staying. Then suddenly we sign Bryant and everyone comes back (yogi mainly) and there are a lot of reasons to stay. Unless that experience soured him and he wants out still (not likely in my mind) then I think that ship has sailed whether it was really an option last year - no idea Tom White 1 Quote
Dalton26 Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Pitt offered the job to Sean Miller. Supposedly a 50-50 chance he accepts. Quote

MartintheMopMan Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 @garyparrishcbs BREAKING: Stephen F. Austin’s Brad Underwood has agreed to become Oklahoma State’s next head coach, @CBSSports has learned. Story coming. Great move by OK state. He's by far my favorite young coach. Heartbreaking for a team who already was beaten down though. Quote

While I agree he's a great coach and it's a great hire. I wouldn't necessarily call him young at 52. (Which is older than I thought he was) MartintheMopMan 1 Quote
hoosierpap Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Gregg Doyel @GreggDoyelStar Tulane's search for a basketball coach has it sniffing around Indiana State's Greg Lansing, I'm hearing. Doubt he'd leave ISU for there tho. mamasa 1 Quote
