Before this year I liked Coach K, now he really annoys me.  He's a hypocritical drama queen.  He publically lectured that Oregon player, Tom Crean, Max Bielfelt.  Meanwhile he publically defended Grayson Allen's intentional trippings.

 

One day soon I hope another coach or player publically calls him out.

He has coached some of the biggest punks to literally ever play the game. Hypocritical drama queen is so accurate. Shut up and take your beating like a man. I hate UK and PU but Duke is right there with them.

Oregon was running out the clock and Brooks launches a 3 from 30 ft and hits it as the shot clock expires. Trash talking throughout the game but you know Allen was running his mouth as well. K said something to Brooks after the game then denies it.

How do you know that Allen was running his mouth throughout the game? Watched it from tip to finish and didn't see him jaw or anything.

I've strongly disliked Coach K since the 1992 final four when he worked the refs HARD and stole that game from us.  Seriously, it's considered one of the most lop sided refed games in NCAA history.  Gave him at least one title there.  

Then, you have last years game against Wisconsin. That game was ATROCIOUS as well.  Seriously, there was a span where I think Wisconsin was called for like 8 fouls in a row that single handily got Duke back in the game. And that's not even including the ball that CLEARLY went out of bounds on Duke, was given back to Duke, and then they hit a three to go up by like 5.  

At minimum, two titles that should have never been.  Duke players are also coached to flop.  

And then, beyond all that, there was the whole Coach K and Sulaimon assault ordeal:

Notre Dame can stick around until Sunday if they want I guess. Everyone else though.

you could. Duke made it about as far as i expected them to. I really thought they would get bounced in the first weekend with the way they were playing but I am happy that they made it to the second weekend in a down year. Boy am I excited for next year.

I never said hate anywhere (strongly dislike, yes).  And honestly, that took about ten minutes to put together.  And I love how you judge me saying I hate plural "people" and "programs" when I only mention one person and program (Coach K, Duke).   

It's important that people know the truth of who Coach K is.  He's not a saint no matter what he tries to portray to the public.  

Edit: I don't hate Duke or the players that go to Duke.  I dislike Coach K.  Who he is, and what he's done, are why I root for them to lose.

Did you read any of the Deadspin articles?  If you did and still have the same viewpoint, then OK, we'll agree to disagree on whether he's a good person.  If not, please do so.

I agree that coach K is not someone to look up to.  He's a fine coach but that's where it ends.  Knight was a good coach as well but I would never want my son looking up to him as a role model.  I truly think IMO that coach K is not helping himself play the OAD game.  It's a tricky game that even the best at it like Cal have problems with.   Anyhow, Duke was never winning it all this year and making it to the sweet sixteen was a pretty good accomplishment.

Read a couple of those articles and tell me K is a good person.  

Ive already seen everything you have posted as it's constantly been told me to every year. I never said you had to like him or hate him. I don't think anyone was on here saying he was a good person either.
