cappymo14 Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Ya know, the “waiting on Louisville” rumor is intriguing to me. While I believe there is absolutely no truth to the rumor, it did get me thinking about other possible reasons for delaying his commitment even further. Does anyone know if there is anything slated to happen between now and mid-April that he could possibly be ‘waiting’ on? Any announcement/news from teams or players? Anything expected to happen with the NBA in that timeframe? Any other theory besides he “he wants to finish his playing obligations?”Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
MoyeNeeded Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 I heard it this am on my way to work. I previously thought the same. What else could he be waiting for? I think we have the best chance but it makes me nervous.Don't worry, UofL has no chance. They won't be able to hire any big named coach for awhile. Nobody will take over sh*t storm going on there.Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app Stuhoo and cappymo14 2 Quote
MoyeNeeded Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Rick Bolus tweeting that people close to NA program are predicting Romeo to IU. Bolus is a 69 year old Kentucky basketball camp legend. MoyeNeeded Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 All fan bases have idiots IU included. But U of L and UK are a special breed of stupid.Yes they are! Not saying this is true or isn’t and nothing directed at you, just my preference that I hope things like this if it is IU don’t somehow change our chances at the last minute. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I'd be worried about this too but i feel like a bunch of people that are "in the know" have made statements like this about Vanderbilt or Kansas as well so hopefully it evens everything out if that were to be the case A.j. CSP Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 My buddy just sent me a video on fb messenger... right after Bell hit the shot on Saturday, a WC fan (almost guaranteed to be a HSer) shoved Romeo in the back as he was walking away, Romeo doesn't even turn to acknowledge the fan. Pretty lame by that fan, regardless of their age. cappymo14 1 Quote
ap2345 Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 It just hit me why Romeo might be waiting. He is waiting to see what the rosters look like after everyone either transfers, declares for the draft, or graduate transfers commit to the different teams. He isn't going to Louisville because that would look awful on his part after all the time these 3 coaches have put in. Romeo isn't Garland. Quote

Pretty lame by that fan, regardless of their age. I got that one too. The person who sent it to me also said the WC student section was chanting “Romeo Sucks”. I had hoped the video was a fake. Anyone but Romeo and we’d probably have seen haymakers. Glad he just walked away.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app LockdownD, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and IUBBFan1970 3 Quote

eladuke Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I was at the game and the fans were classless. They were waving good bye and the players didnt stop celebrating to shake hands. Nothing but aholes. High school sports has really changed since i was in school. Romeo is good kid and doesnt deserve that. IUBBFan1970 and CR3AMnCR1MS0N 2 Quote
Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Rumor is Romeo will pay attention to one roster. He knows Kansas will have talent regardless whether Newman stays or not is not a factor as some have said. Grimes is a born scorer so if anything he would bother him more. At Vandy he knows what things will likely look like. He is curious about Juwan Morgan though. Most know Juwan wouldn't get drafted most likely but that hasn't stopped guys from leaving in the past. If he knows the chances of coming in with Morgan are high, IU looks A LOT more appealing. Most could've guessed that, but just sharing the rumors flowing that I came across today and that it could be a reason he is delaying things. Also not announcing at McDonald's game has gave them some freedom to not rush it. I've also talked to some people close to the Evansville program and they think Ryan Taylor will come down to Arizona, IU, Purdue, UCLA & of course it wouldn't be normal if the powerhouse Vandy wasn't in it. Point is if we land one of these guys, let alone both I think our chances of a B1G title run are high. PG: Rob Phinisee/Al Durham SG: Romeo Langford/Damezi Anderson/Vijay Blackmon SF: Ryan Taylor/Jerome Hunter/Zach McRoberts PF: Justin Smith/Race Thompson c: Juwan Morgan/Jake Forrester Not comfortable putting De'Ron in there yet until I know he will be ready and once he is our lineup would change. Devonte Green & Clifton Moore are wildcards depending on whether they stay or go. thebigweave 1 Quote

However, he doesn’t have to pull his name until June 21st. RL will have to decide on feel. IUsafety, Hovadipo, cappymo14 and 2 others 5 Quote
