(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

Yeah, not a huge fan of the way the Langfords have decided to go about this recruitment.

Don't get me wrong, I really, really want talent.

But if he is STILL legitimately considering Vandy at this stage in the game that tells me about everything I need to know.

I'm torn here but his lack of conviction or his complete desire to sell himself is off putting to me.

UGH! But I want him TO WANT to be a HOOSIER!

He's either more wishy washy than Billy Donovan and honestly still doesn't know what he wants yet or else what I've been predicting is correct in that he's known all along where he's going and simply isn't ready to give Hoosier fans the news until his season is over.  I just don't see any other possibilities.

Yep, that's how I read it too. OR he is waiting and holding out to gain even more of the national spotlight. I don't truly believe he is still undecided.

Either he is holding out to stay in fans good graces, etc, or he is holding out to gain media spotlight.

So does anyone think his visit to IU was just for show then? If he has decided, that visit should be a very encouraging sign.
It may be that it takes until 2019 for Archie to land elite prospects. Fortunately, Brooks seems to like us a lot and we all know how much TJD has been to Bloomington. Carton and Stewart appear to be interested as well.

I hope so. Don't want to see another recruit pulling a Garland on us

I think so.  He wants everyone to think that he's seriously considering IU.

And if he is going to tell Garland no I highly doubt he'd do it at the McDonald's game.

That is a trash move then. Wilkes pulled the same stunt, dragging us along and making it seem IU had a serious chance. Do these kids not realize they will piss off most of the state by doing crap like this? Do you think anyone in Indiana gives a darn about Trey Lyles, Gary Harris, or Kris Wilkes now?

Do you think they care?

I cannot imagine he would take a visit for show. If he wasn't interested he wouldn't go, plain and simple.

He would especially not request to come if he were not seriously considering it.

Rabjohns said the biggest barrier IU has to getting Romeo is his friendship with Garland and Garland’s continued recruitment of Romeo. That little punk. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like we will be going up against Drew in recruiting battles going forward, or at least he won’t have a head start with recruits.

Can’t blame the kid for trying to recruit Romeo. He doesn’t have **** in Nashville waiting on them

Don’t think he is holding out to see how rosters shake out at end of year? Say he commits early to IU and Morgan declares for draft. Wouldn’t you as a player want to know for sure who will be on the college team you are going to play for.

Of course he's trying to get media spotlight. He's trying to build his brand. I hope he does it here (I think he knows he will)

There are really only two logically explanations for it imo:

1. Drew and the AD have him convinced he can come into a trash program and run his NBA audition with the AD. That's all it will be. There is not going to be any final four run. You need a good coach for that.

2. Drew is very very shady.

There are no other logical explanations for a top 10 guy to pick them.

So your still 100% vandy as done deal. Correct?
