Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Yeah the ND thing isnt something to book a theory on, but it is nice. After talking to him I believe he has some Intel as he is more connected to this than some think, but it didn't come from the months of the Langfords so therefore it's not a done deal people. It's definitely a positive though. ap2345 1 Quote

If it's 11 games, thanks to a sectional bye, he'd need 43.8 points per. Gonna be hard to do, but after last night who knows he got 63 so easily. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Uspshoosier Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Who else could we possibly add to next years roster that would make a final four a real likelihood? With the thought of Romeo coming to IU, hypothetically Reid Travis of Stanford was granted a 5th year. He is from Minnesota and Ostrom has Minny ties. If Reid decided to be a grad transfer he would be a top choice for many programs. He would have the grades This is just me thinking out loud. He might love Stanford at stay a 5th year or go pro but he would definitely make us better next year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ap2345, Stuhoo, WayneFleekHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

The reality is you never know what transfers will be available. Quote

Stuhoo Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 There is no question that there will be VERY high-level grad transfers out there after this year. There are EVERY year! Quote

No way. But a rotation that included Romeo, Morgan, Smith, Hunter, a successful big whether it be Race, Jake, DeRon, or Moore, a successful guard whether it be Phinissee, Green, or Durham, and a high-end grad transfer or two makes us Final Four 'consideration-ish'. mdn82, ALASKA HOOSIER and ap2345 3 Quote
mdn82 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 A final four favorite starts the tournament with less than 15% to make it there most years. I am not sure I would say outside of one or two teams I would call any team a favorite. But South Carolina last year should show getting in the right bracket with the right teams falling anything is possible. I think we need at least another big and a Zeisloft personally. But hey, who knows? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Class of '66 Old Fart, Hutch89, Stuhoo and 1 other 4 Quote

Need a big that works in our offense AND defense and a solid experienced PG to help us weather Phinisees freshmen year ALASKA HOOSIER and mdn82 2 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I have no idea what Romeo is going to decide and neither does anyone else. If he goes to Vandy it'll be because he thinks it's the best opportunity for him, not because he's too scared to tell "Alpha Garland" no. I hope after this recruitment is finished, I never see or hear the phrase "Alpha Dog" again!Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk raorIU, ALASKA HOOSIER and Hoosierfan2017 3 Quote

If Morgan and (hypothetically) Travis extend their range they would be a great 1-2 punch down low. A great frosh to soph leap by Smith, Romeo scoring at the SG, and a solid pass first Phinisee would make for a solid Big Ten contender. woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 No trouble just extremely busy with work, coaching 6th-grade basketball and officiating at a high school almost every night. As far as Romeo is concerned I have heard almost nothing. One tidbit last week but not sure if I believe it even though it was pro-IU. I hope he chooses IU but not sure if he even knows where he is going next year yet. With or without him I do think our roster is going to look a lot different next season. And betterSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Chris007 1 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 If we end up banking one i would really like to give it to Mcroberts. What could be the harm. Hea gone after next year anywayI concurSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Quote
