Sittu is in the bag.  I still think it's about 80/20 that garland goes to Vandy but fpeaughs post about our staff being confident makes me slightly more optimistic.  He usually has good info.

I hate to be a pessimist about this, but if I were putting my money down, I'd be betting that Garland and Langford both end up at Vandy at this point. I hope I'm wrong but Langford putting Vandy in his top 3 pretty much killed any hopes I had at getting them. 

Put your money where youth mouth. I will bet you they both dont go to vandy.

I almost wonder if Darius and Romeo chat with each other and talk about exactly what’s going on with all the anticipation these two have built up among the IU and Vandy fans. If so, then I don’t see Romeo listing Vandy in his top three as an issue. He knows Darius has a top two of IU and Vandy, so Romeo keeping Vandy and IU in his top three keeps up the anticipation and excitement of their recruitment. May sound silly, but with big recruits like this, knowing they are interested in playing with each other, keeping a couple of the same schools on their list instills the speculation until it’s all said and done.

This is spot on. Nothing high school kids love more than to keep the attention on them at all times

Name an amount and offer me odds. Chances of them going elsewhere or splitting is greater than both ending up at Vandy so I'm not going to bet it straight up.

That's a reasonable take, and I'd normally agree with you. Someone's going to miss out on one of their priority targets, then come calling after a top ten forward still uncommitted. But the Vandy writers are awfully confident here. 

On his own podcast, Chris Lee said it was almost a "bet your house proposition" Vandy would land one of the three top ten recruits they were targeting. Then on Jordan Wells' podcast, Lee made it clear he was talking about Shittu. He also said this was something Vanderbilt writers had known for some time, and was based on some information he couldn't share publicly for journalistic reasons. Maybe Lee is putting too much faith in his sources, but I've yet to see any reason to doubt what he's been told. Though I do agree: the longer Shittu holds off on committing, the better for us.
