Hoosier Guy is overly optimistic, and chooses to believe only the best will happen. He said he was his own source. So for those of you throwing it back at him like he was wrong and stuff like that are making yourselves look extremely bad.

I admit I was wrong with Donovan. That one did fool me

I do think it's confusing and a problem for posters who aren't as active on the board. They see a guy giving definitive answers without mentioning that it's just his opinion or that he's hoping for the best. It rubs me the wrong way too but everyone else seems OK with it so I've kept quiet.

I would also add that these kids often read the boards and if I were these guys and saw someone stating over and over again that it's happening as if if it's a foregone conclusion and fact it would turn me off - kids tend to do the opposite of what adults say

Self is the ultimate dirty sleazebag. I have no respect for a program that operates the way Kansas does.

I've seen a lot of this on here, and it's impossible not to be suspicious with the investigation that is sure to affect more schools, but what specifically sticks out about Self and Kansas to make them dirtier than other programs?

That’s personal preference though. If I were these kids and fans tweeted at me all the time I’d be annoyed and probably turned off by that fan base. Everyone is different.

Im with electric. Being optimistic is one thing. We all want to be. However, to continue to post in in a matter of fact sense as if you truly know something (but actually know no more than most) is very misleading to some and frankly gets old.

If that were ever the case, that’s a player that doesn’t need to be playing big time college basketball in the first place

I'm not really sure what some of you want. The guy legitimately said his source was himself, if thats not saying he doesn't actually know I dont know what will.

The mods added a disclaimer in his signature so now you all can stop complaining about a fellow Hoosiers optimism.

Unless you've been checking the board every day you wouldn't ever know he said that. So a less active user logs in and sees Hoosier Guy answer definitively that we get Romeo and Darius and, predictably, gets confused. You guys can change the titles under people's names, right? Might need to change Hoosier Guy to Team Cheerleader or Eternal Optimist or something.

....Then ask him. It's a message board. He shouldn't have to give a disclaimer with every single post just because others aren't familiar with him.

Lol you're not serious... boo hoo man. Hoosier Guy is what makes a message board halfway enjoyable instead of every one trying to critique coaches. Get over it.
