I dread this game every year.  Every year the Hoosiers walk into Happy Valley expecting to win big, but always get a dog fight.

Since my last predictions were pretty much spot on last game, I guess it's time to give up some prophesy for the Nappy Lions hoopfest.

1. TW has 2 TOs but is on his butt 5 times.

2. ROJO has 3 x 3pointers

3. Niego hits a 2 pointer

4. Priller with 2x RBs and 1 2x attempt

5. TB with 13 points

6. OG wears his shorts up to his navel and has 2 steals

7. Hartman ends up with only 1 foul

Say it what it is, but I have always respected Pat Chambers.  I think he is a good bench coach but can't get anyone to play for Penn St.

 

He seems to always bring a good scouted game plan against IU and it has shown (expecially when he stole one in Assembly).

 

This will be a close game.  Just survive and move on!

I hope the boys are more disciplined than I am. I want to not look past this game but just can't help it. I feel like a little kid who wants to stomp his feet and whine "I don't care about Penn State! I want to see Ioooooooowa!"

 

This whole post-Duke season has been fun and exciting and watching this team dismantle lesser teams is great and everything and I totally want us to lead by 40 at the half but... man I really want to see us shine against real competition. I want us to continue our absolute dominance of ranked teams in Assembly Hall. I want to excitedly run around my house yelling and wake my daughter up when we destroy Iowa and spend the rest of the night looking up flights to Houston.

 

Between seeing all the recent off-season development of the football team, the major changes in 49ers land, and this massive Hoosier turnaround but not playing any top-25 teams, it's like I'm being sports-teased and dagnabit I want some sports-climax!

More than anything, would love to see single-digit turnovers this game. So many of the TOs are preventable that it seems like an easy fix.

I hate playing Penn State, home or away. Every year people think we'll win by 20, and just about every year it's close. They're a scrappy team that always tries to mix it up with our better players. 

 

 

They tend to get the Northwestern treatment from the media, too. Every year the pundits talk about how they're on the upswing and getting so much better, but every year they still stink. 

 

 

I don't really know much about them this year. Do they have someone who's going to hit a bunch of crazy circus shots, ala Tim Frazier or Taylor Battle?

Out of all the Big Ten teams, PSU probably has the least amount of homecourt advantage.

 

 

But I still expect the robot refs to go after Bryant early and often.
