Just reading through the posts between everyone and X-Hoosier and I'm gunna be honest here...some of you went a little overboard when he basically just tried to clarify what he was saying about why Kentucky gets the love.

Everyone was saying he was trolling but I think it was the other way around. Obviously he shouldn't have said the "jealous hater" thing and that's when he lost some credibility but before that I think everyone needed to just chill a little.

Granted some of it was probably just joking around but other parts of it seemed a bit more serious.

It goes beyond just this thread.  He said jealous hater, and then came back trolling about Indiana being a seed higher than Kensucky.  This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I just want to mention that when Tom took Marquette to the Final Four in 2003 they were a #3 seed which is what I believe we are currently projected at in the majority of brackets. Marquette's Adjusted Offense ranking was #2 and their Adjusted Defense was #119. Currently IU's Adjusted Offense is #4 and our Adjusted Defense is #67.

 

Here was Marquettes route to FF

 

Rd1 - #14 Holy Cross

Rd 2 - #6 Missouri

S16 - #2 Pittsburgh

E8 - #1 Kentucky

FF - #2 Kanas (loss)

 

 

Edit: Fun note IU was a #7 seed in 2003 and lost to #2 Pitt which prevented a IU/Marquette matchup in the Sweet 16.

I just don't get how nova is a one seed. They haven't beat anybody that good. Lost to 20 to Oklahoma lost to Virginia and Xavier. Rest of their schedule is worse then ours

8 top 42 wins which is what the committee will look at. The key difference is 0 bad losses (worst loss rpi 41) compared to 3 bad losses by us (+114). People can debate rpi numbers but until committee chair comes out and says they do not use it these are the numbers they will use. People like me who follow bracketology and team resumes closely, what the committee does with whicita state this year will be interesting. They are ken Pom top 11 but have a +50 rpi
