JaybobHoosier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Can't wait for Tuesday's game. I grew up in southern Illinois, so basically Illini country. LOVE beating Illinois. Illinois has been playing better, but I think IU will be too much. Thoughts on the upcoming game? Alford Bailey Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 We better not lose to allanoy. JaybobHoosier 1
HoosierAloha Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Attack inside early and often. Don't let Hill or Nunn go off and watch for Finkey to pull TB away from the lane to open up driving lanes. Attack off the dribble to get them in foul trouble. Don't pull a purdoo doo.
Miller'sTheMan Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 As long as we don't let Hill and Nunn just go off on us this should be a win. No excuse to lose to this team at home. HoosierAloha, FortWayneHoosier and WayneFleekHoosier 3
Stuhoo Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 It should be a Thomas Bryant kind of game. mamasa, lillurk and HoosierAloha 3
Popular Post protectthishouse Posted January 18, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2016 We have the real Assembly Hall and the real Ken Nunn. We'll be fine. Crimson and Cream, Class of '66 Old Fart, Stuhoo and 5 others 8
Stuhoo Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 We have the real Assembly Hall and the real Ken Nunn. We'll be fine. I'd like to thank poster "protectthishouse" for reminding us that it's time to... Protect our Hall. JaybobHoosier 1
Hovadipo Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 We have the real Assembly Hall and the real Ken Nunn. We'll be fine. We have the *only* Assembly Hall now. :) RBB89 and FortWayneHoosier 2
AKHoosier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 They don't scare me, which kind of scares me haha. I hope we don't take these next two games lightly just because it's IL and NW at home. HoosierAloha and JaybobHoosier 2
OliviaPope40 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Every time I think of the Illinois game I'm always reminded of when Meyers Leonard got an elbow to the face.
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Every time I think of the Illinois game I'm always reminded of when Meyers Leonard got an elbow to the face.Your 2012-2013 team centric posting style is interesting. Loved that team too. Illinois is a scary team. Have some talent that could "go off". Our home court advantage should be the icing on the cake, unless we get some unorthodox ref trying to screw with us. Need to use TB, he should be a big advantage in this contest. LockdownD Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Every time I think of the Illinois game I'm always reminded of when Meyers Leonard got an elbow to the face. It was payback!
Crimson and Cream Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I hate these guys. Feed the big boy Bryant and protect home court, should be a W. JaybobHoosier and HoosierAloha 2

Feathery Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 IU by double digits. Groce is in over his head and they are already talking replacements on their message boards. We have better talent and in this game better coaching. BtownBanner6 1

We have better talent and in this game better coaching. But we have replacement talks 24/7 365 days a week ;) BtownBanner6 and Fulkme15 2
MartintheMopMan Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Every time I think of the Illinois game I'm always reminded of when Meyers Leonard got an elbow to the face. And now he and Vonleh share minutes... What a country! But no, I wish he'd declare he is quitting basketball and I never had to see him Lemon up another play.
Parakeet Jones Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I am glad we are playing again pretty soon. I hate the week long layoffs for selfish reasons and because I think it is better for them to stay in rhythm and not have that much time between games.
MartintheMopMan Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Refer back to OP for the numbers for the game (added prediction league link too).
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Found this snippet following Illinois' loss to Nebraska: "It was Finke’s second offensive rebound of the game, but the only one for Illinois in the second half and, ultimately, the third and final for the Illini in their 78-67 loss to the Cornhuskers. Illinois fans — those in attendance at State Farm Center and more chiming in on social media — lamented Illinois’ rebounding against Nebraska. The Cornhuskers ended the game with a 42-24 edge on the boards, the sixth straight team — and 12th this season — to outrebound the Illini." Troy, TB and Max should have a rebounding feast.
