Duke forward Semi Ojeleye will transfer, per the school. Two and a half years of eligibility remaining.

He's a pretty impressive player, but I don't know how in the world we'd find room for Ojeleye if he wanted to come.  Tom Crean may want to set the all-time record for number of guys between 6'6" and 6'8" on a roster at once.

On Ojeleye---we were in his final four first time around----many say we were runner-up to Duke so the interest was there.  He's a top 40 player---but yet another wing. 

 

Tommy does love him some wings-----Louisville named their new stadium after KFC--the Yum Center-----maybe we should rename our stadium---the Buffalo Wild Wings Assembly Hall----all the wings you want on a basketball floor!  :biggrin:

Having no Seniors on this team, makes me even more excited for next years team. On Paper we are loaded at a lot of spots, and we will finally have size. Next year could be Crean's best defensive team he's had while at Bloomington.

Who is it that gives us size next year? I thought Morgan was essentially the same height as Perea. Does he play more like a center or is he a rebound machine?

Morgan is very good at rebounding and Defense, O.G. is also said to be good at Defense and boasts over a 7 foot wingspan, however the size that intrigues me is a Senior Hanner, a Junior Devan, and a Soph Holt.  We finally have depth at forward and should be able to play 2 forwards together at once on the floor rather than a bunch of wings and Hanner or Holt.  I've said before that I think that Hanner is doing a pretty good job so far this year, and I think that he'd be much more effective if he had another forward to play alongside him because I think he'd be able to help weak side and block a lot more shots and be in a better position to get more rebounds.

Ok. I think we are a legit big away from being a championship level team next year. I agree that with what we have coming in and coming back we could be top 15-20 good but not sure we have enough to get past sweet 16.

I get that is still pretty good and should warrant some excitement but then after that year we lose Yogi, Nick and HP and possibly JBj. So another peak at sweet 16 then reload.

The latest transfer list addition is that of Duke sophomore forward Semi Ojeleye. Will be putting out mid-season list sometime this week.

I don't know it just seems every couple years there is a guy that leaves at end of the first semester. I loved Semi is an outstanding defender and a freak athlete.
