He shot a three after the buzzer went off and it went in.

I noticed him shooting it right after the buzzer but TV didn't show the result and I listened for a crowd reaction and didn't hear one... Assumed that meant he missed. Sounds like he hits pregame, halftime, and after the game... Now just need him hitting in the 40 minutes and I'm sure that will start next game

I would think so, especially after this effort. This game will really help, not just the win, but how much the win margin was against a really good defensive team. Voters will take that into consideration.

Good to see IU play well today. Hope Z gets out of his shooting slump.

Is NZ dinged up a little. Some of his shots look a little short. Don't know of its the "d" focusing on him more, with Blackmon out. Maybe not getting the lift he needs.

Like others have said, I really think it's mental.  He's ha several that are halfway down and pop out.  I see him having a 3 of 5, 4 of 6 type game soon and breaking out of the slump.  He's not missing by much.  He has good fundamentals and will be back to Z3 soon.

Didn't NZ's shooting percentages drop off last year in BT play too?

He started off 2 for 12 in the first two conf games.  Then went 34 for 58 (58.6%) the next 16 conf games (which includes 0 for 3 in 4 games sprinkled in).  Finished 2 for 8 in the B10 and NCAA tourney.

If anything, it was the opposite.  He started cold and heated up for the majority of conference play and cooled off for the tournaments.

Not that I'm aware of.  He's been very close almost every time with his shot, I think he will be out of it in a few games.  I would rather he be slumping now than in the post-season :)

He's an unsettling 4/25 in conference play this far.   A piss-poor 16% shooting including an 0/7 today against OSU.  He's pulling the trigger but just can't find the rhythm.  Hopefully he shoots himself right out of this slump.

Outside of conference play this year he is 26/48 (54.2%).

Good. I probably only remembered the early slump. Butlers Dunham had a 0-23 slump for a stretch and still seems a little off but I would still want him shooting if I were butler.

His shots are short because he's overcompensating since his shots were too strong at the beginning of the slump. Everyone addressed the mental aspect, but that's specifically why he's short.

A few additional thoughts (although most have already been covered)...

1) Help-defense in the first-half. Absolutely magnificent. Particularly the efforts by guys like Yogi and Johnson. They did a wonderful job of sliding over as a "half defender" of sorts and disrupting the offensive player's move toward the basket. Deflecting the ball and just causing general disruption. I don't know how many times we did that in the first half, but it was a sizable number. We had wonderful timing and knew where we had to be at the right time. Just a phenomenal effort in that regard. Great scouting and great execution.

2) We valued the ball better. Played smarter than we have. Still made a handful of silly mistakes, mostly in the second half, but it's like we made a genuine effort to hold on to the ball this game. Impressive, considering that Ohio State's defense was supposed to be one of the best in the conference.

3) We killed them on the boards. Absolutely smoked them.

4) Troy Williams with the bounce-back game. When he plays well, we're hard to beat. He played well yesterday. Aggressive, but generally intelligent. Had a pretty good nose for the ball. Much better than his extremely disappointing efforts we have seen in the first three conference games.

5) Bryant came to play. Especially on the offensive end. Very aggressive. Hit the boards hard. Was tough down low. Everything we need him to be. Of course, he still needs work on his positioning on both ends of the floor, but you definitely see improvement. Also fought through some fatigue, which was encouraging.

6) I continue to love OG's play. He's making some really good plays and it honestly looks somewhat easy to him. Missed a few shots, but you can tell his confidence is growing. Making plays on offense and defense.

7) Thought Johnson played better today. Looked more confident out there and played with purpose. Six assists to one turnover. Made several great defensive plays. Hit some shots, like we need him to.

8) We made Ohio State look BAD, especially in the first half. For as many big and lengthy players that they have, there is absolutely no way they should ever be out-rebounded by 19 by anyone. Tate, Bates-Diop, Thompson, Loving. None of them looked good yesterday. If they're relying on a freshman Jaquan Lyle to lead their team, they won't win too many more ball games.
