Miller'sTheMan Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 more than Crean? Pretty sure any poll would have Crean #1 in a landslide In more relevant news, I was pleased with the players effort in the second half. Yogi, OG and Max looked good Max looked good but no TB mention? MikeRoberts 1 Quote
MikeRoberts Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Max looked good but no TB mention?yes, TB as well. It thought he was more involved in the first half Quote

biteoftheapple Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 TB looked very good. But, we do need more rebounding from him. WelshHoosier 1 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Good win. Always tough to win the first two Big Ten road games no matter where or who you are playing. Congtatulations to the guys starting 2-0. Nebraska is not very good BUT----we showed some toughness today and I certainly saw improvement in the defense. Turnovers were a tick better and we seemed to not be bothered by the slower pace of the game. We actually ran some decent offense at times. Yogi stepped up when he needed to---good to see senior leadership. Max did the same and was solid throughout. The lightbulb for TB is finally coming on--he is looking better and better and gives us a rim protector inside. Still needs to be more of a boarding presence. RoJo was a NoShow for the second game in a row. He doesn't need to try to do too much. We just need him to stay solid like he was earlier in the year. OG is demanding more playing time by his play. I know many will disagree but we put him in Troy's place next year after Troy goes pro and we won't miss a beat. A front line of TB, OG, and Davis is scary good. I love OG's toughness and athleticism and willingness to board and play defense. Juwan was solid today too. All in all---I see signs of life and we are quietly on a nice little win streak. The rest of the Big Ten is talking about MSU, Purdue, Maryland, and Iowa. I still have hope we sneak into that conversation SOON! Keep it up Hoosiers! Ranger78 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I would start OG at the 3/4 and bench Troy. He makes less mistakes and plays better defense. Bruce038, WelshHoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER and 2 others 5 Quote

Yogi, OG and Max looked good Yes, as a fan of IU basketball, I would think most would dislike Miles over Crean. I don't understand how he thinks tweeting at half time is a good thing at all. cjvz20 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I think we need Troy to be a great team. But need to keep him on the baseline and not dribbling. Stuhoo, VO5, USMCHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote
bleedhoosier Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Finished the game pretty good. Pleased with that. OG looked great and we got senior leadership from yogi and Max right when Nebraska looked to make it a close one. Good job Hoosiers! We beat wisky and OSU in a ugly or pretty fashion and I will start feeling good about this season again. Maybe this ends up being a grind it out team. 8bucks, rebelhoosier848891 and coonhounds 3 Quote
mdn82 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 You know we played somewhat solid when this is the response we get after a win. As a mod I will take that! MikeRoberts, HoosierAloha and johnsoniu 3 Quote
Trish Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 James isn't practicing according to tommy boy. I don't think we'll see him again for a couple more weeks. Quote
BlueDevil Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Road wins tough to come by and IU is 2-0 on the road to start Big Ten play. Huge. Quote
incrediboy Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Too many unforced errors by Troy, Yogi and RoJo (what the heck is wrong with RoJo?) Could have put it away much earlier but Bryant missed the front end of two straight one-plus-one's and OG followed by missing the front end of another. Put those six on the board and it's never a close game even with JBJ sitting again. Other than that, kudos to everyone who stepped on the floor and to the coaching staff's game plan. OG just keeps getting better, and Morgan is starting to make good things happen when he's on the floor, too. lillurk and IUsafety 2 Quote
AKHoosier Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 At this point I'm going to assume James Blackmon will be out the whole month of January. This isn't the worst news, as our schedule is obviously fairly easy this month. Hopefully he can rejoin the team in a few weeks (if not sooner) in time for when our schedule gets tougher. Quote
ou812dude Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 great start to B1G...2-0 on the road. I cant honestly remember the last time IU managed that... IUsafety 1 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 12-3 and 2-0 in the Big is a great place to be. I expected us to be much better then we are playing but honestly expected losses against Kansas (in Maui) and Duke (at Cameron) so I expected us to be 13-2 and 2-0 at this point. We are still in reach of all goals and even though we are winning ugly---we are still winning. Defense is SLOWLY improving and our schedule is favorable enough to allow it to continue improving slowly. Work hard Hoosiers and we can still salvage a great season.
