Every game is important but games against Rutgers, Nebrasketball, Minnesota, Penn State, etc. are even more important.  We can afford to lose any bad games if we hope to make the tourney and/or get a decent seed.  We really didn't have any marquee wins in the non con schedule so avoiding bad losses can go a long way.

This game could also be a boost to the team's confidence in their ability to win on the road.  If we're going to contend to be top half of the B1G we're going to need to win a few of these games on the road.

Last thought, JUST DEFEND!!!  If you can't defend foul the poop out of someone.

With this Rutgers team, we better throttle them. I just want to see a commitment to half defense. But watch Rutgers have their season best offensive production. Either PPP will be season best or someone will have a career high.

Regardless, SO glad conference is finally here. We are favored in the first 9 games. That could be some serious momentum heading through the stretch. Rest the starters when necessary to keep them fresh.

Give me more OG and Morgan tonight!

The schedule is one reason why I have been more disinterested this season.  I don't understand why we can't get some decent games on the schedule.  Schedule a home and home with a team like Temple or some other top mid-major teams.  Or better yet, schedule some mid-table major conference teams...at least they have a shot at being a tourney team...in addition to some top tier teams like Kansas, UCLA, Villanova, Florida, etc.

This team needs to start with a W...especially a road W.  Let's go Hoosiers!
