Popular Post Stuhoo Posted December 13, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 13, 2015 He's just what we are hoping for: He defends. Not just compared to the rest of the team. He really defends. Turnovers are way down from last year. Shooting is fantastic. Serious minded player; by all accounts an excellent teammate. Rojo tends to slip under the radar, but if we pull this season together, Rojo will be a big reason why we are good. Str8Hoosiers, HoosierAloha, MikeRoberts and 23 others 26 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I was just saying the other day a senior Rob Johnson will be a beast. I like how he plays in every way. Not selfish. Tries on D. Doesn't force. I think he gets to the rim well. Wish he did it more tbh. LazOffTheBench, ALASKA HOOSIER, lillurk and 2 others 5 Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I wasn't expecting much this year. I thought we'd see bigger changes in the next year. I'm pleasantly surprised! Good post Stu! scots07 1 Quote
Hoosiers219 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Great post! Rojo seems fundamentally refined playing within himself. Players ought - rebound, defend, minimize TOs and hit FTs. This is the core identity of teams and players that win. He does most of these things, although you would like to see an increase in FT %. Keep up the good work, RJ! ccgeneral and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
VO5 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 My favorite player on the team. He, in my opinion, is the best overall player we have rae vogel, Bobman1, HoosierCindy and 4 others 7 Quote

Parakeet Jones Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I second all of the love for ROJO. He is the kind of 4 year guy we need as our foundation. rae vogel, HoosierAloha, LazOffTheBench and 2 others 5 Quote
Golfman25 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Rojo is a classical IU player. Fundamentally sound hard worker with talent. He is the kind of 4 year player that holds your team together in the one and done era. Crimson and Cream, HoosierAloha, rae vogel and 1 other 4 Quote
Crimson and Cream Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I appreciate this appreciation thread. I'm a big fan of RoJo, and like others have said he will be a great senior. ALASKA HOOSIER, BtownBanner6, lakejameshoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
SWEETLEMONbrown Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I was just saying this yesterday at the game, and talking about the differences between Yogi and Rojo. I love Yogi and he's our best player, no doubt. But what I love about Rojo running point is that he isn't necessarily a "scoring threat". He will occasionally drive to the basket, but he's usually level headed and good at finding someone to make something happen. Yogi is more of a scoring threat which can sometimes cause more possible turnovers. (In no way am I knocking on Yogi) He will be an amazing 4 year player and I hope he'll be a great leader. rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 We do appreciate you RoJO! Way to bring it game in and game out. He's the Max Bielfeldt of the guards----does all the little things to help the team win! Quote
HoosierAloha Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Love RoJo's game this year and his shot looks like it's going in every time he shoots it recently. His TOrate is still a bit high but he's good at making the solid pass rather than the highlight pass. He also looks like he genuinely cares about defending. I can't wait to see how he and Hartman do as the upperclassmen leaders next season. Quote
bleedhoosier Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Im on board with this thread! Rojo as a senior and gaining a little nasty streak could he a little dez wells-ish! But with a great outside shot Napleshoosier 1 Quote

HoosierCindy Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 He reminds me of Christian Watford. Just quietly goes about his business and get the job done. southsidehoosier 1 Quote
