I wanna be excited but its hard.  The defense is once again going to hold us back this year.  We have the tools to have a solid defense.  JBJ has to go to the bench till hes willing to put the effort there though.

Great game. High turnover rate. Excellent shooting and better defense in 2nd. I feel like the D should improve with some time. Everyone seems to be playing hard.

Need to cut down on turnovers and improve the defense. So many little mistakes we can easily fix, just gotta make the corrections. Loved the offense though!

Only saw part of the game but looked like Lots of 3's or transition points. I still wonder how we'll do in the half court if we're not hitting 3's.

Not bad, too many TO's and gotta shore up the defense but the offense looked good. Hate to say it but JBJ looks no better than last year. Big time shooter but can't defend worth a crap and still makes silly turnovers.

My take on JBJ is that on defense he plays smaller than what he really is. Seems easy to pass over him and he doesn't use his quickness well. I'm sure he will work on it until he gets it.

Eh he was decent on D last game, and bad today.. Need to see more.

lot of different line ups that won't play in real games.  I think the turnovers will reduce naturally. obviously they need to tighten up, but i don't think it's something that we need to panic about at this point.

I had fun. D is awful but I guess we are who we are. I am going to TRY to enjoy this season without regard. Lots of talent, lots of youth. Fun team, fun players. Enjoy it while it lasts.

It's not every year you have a Troy, a TB, a Yogi, etc, etc..

Feeling good despite the defensive effort. And yes BIG teams are going to give us fits.

On the other hand AP shoots 48.3% - that number would be problematic against better competition. 

 

Hoosiers can hit threes and Troy Willilams can dunk (so can Hartman).

One thing I think we need to do more in the half court is give it to Bryant in the post. I know the competition hasn't been great, but no one has been able to handle him down there.

We must stop turning the ball over to be a good team.

 

They drew a play with Priller shooting the 3.  They also never switched mid possession between man and zone.  Crean seems to be listening to us.  Maybe we'll teach him yet.

 

There was a Yogi Ferrell chant.  I don't think I've ever heard that but I'm glad I did.  Dude is the ultimate Hoosier basketball player.

 

Bryant has swagger.

 

JBJ shoots left handed layups with his right hand.  I don't think I've ever seen that on the D1 level.  I don't like it.

Didn't look like it tonight but I honestly don't think this team is just one of distance shooting. Bryant is real. He and TW are on it. That's your half court. On nights when it is falling, why stop...but I think we can win without it this year. That's exciting.

I'm less worried about the turnovers as I think we can clean that up. The defense on the other hand UGH! Seen the same guys making the same mistakes on D. Worried about Bryant getting himself into foul trouble as well.
