Also,

Eron Gordon was at HH last night.

Interesting. Really seems to be our fall back for BB.

Wonder how the Gordon's feel about this recruitment. Very interesting.

I will be watching the Gelon development closely as odd as that was, I understand Crean wanting a 6'5"-6'6" shooter.

Yea, hard to figure out this EG recruitment.

It's always funny how every year people walk away slightly disappointed by HH, but every year it seems to seal the deal with a recruit.

I think people seem to think that a non competitive event will match a big game atmosphere. Not gonna happen. There's nothing like a big game at Assembly Hall. The most impressive thing about HH is the build up and the turn out. It's so hard to sustain the energy at HH. Doesn't mean it doesn't impact recruits. Look at our photos from last night and try to imagine how it compared to Keglers visit to MISS ST.'s Maroon Madness during Howland's first year (while the "hype" is in full swing.) Pretty cold response to Moren's praise of Crean IMO... Maybe I'm just being ultra sensitive to it. Guy next to me had a we want kegler sign out that he saw

There was at least one Kegler sign. It was noticed by Kegler and a member of his party.

Didn't know I was sitting next to a BTB mod..

I'm assuming that was his guardian that Kegler pointed the sign out to. They both smiled and seemed to appreciate it so I'll consider it a success.

Somewhat disappointed a chant never came about, would've been cool to hear.

Troy Williams will be a lottery pick this year. Heard it here first.

Actually, that's been said several times before.  All he needed to do was solidify his jumper, and it looks like he's done that.  6'8" guys who can get to the rim, handle the ball, shoot it from out on the floor, and guard the perimeter are generally pretty highly regarded; and Williams has the tools.   Right now, for example, Williams is ranked #3 by CBS sports relative to small forwards.  There's no reason Williams can't be similar to Paul George in a few years.  George's college numbers were better than Troy's, but not by much.  15.5 PPG (sophomore year) to 13.0. 6.7 RPG to 5.9 RPG.  Williams is a better shooter, percentage wise (.552 to .485), Williams doesn't turn it over as much as George did; and he's a terrific athlete playing against much better competition than George did.

If GM's had it to do over again, George would have been a top 10 pick, and I think all that held him back was Fresno State.    Williams could be a top 10 pick before it's over.

He would have arguably been the #1 pick honestly.

For all your reasons listed, Troy has a legitimate shot at being drafted in that 5-10 range.

First off it was a joke relating to the fact that a lot of people had said it. I never believed it till now. Also I think Paul George is a lame comparison. PG was known as defender coming out. Troy's yet to be a good defender. Comparing numbers means very little too. PG does things that don't show up on a stat sheet.

I agree. His game translates to the next level very well. If he shoots in games this year as well as he did at HH, he's a lotto pick.
