Decent day for the defense today. The couple of drives there late take away from their performance, along with the fact that the Wake offense was fairly anemic. Should have kept the defensive attack on instead of trying to contain. Offense was decent, but not their A#1 day. Howard was Howard, punishing Wake defensive players. Not a exciting game. The most excitement was watching the D when they were attacking. 

 

4-0. I'll take it. On to OSU.

Very happy with this.  The vast majority of fans and pundits alike agreed that IU wouldn't make it through pre-conference undefeated.  There were great plays, there were "ugh" plays, but we got the job done.  Go Hoosiers!

I'd have to say, I'm a big fan of the clock management offense when it works right, but overall, I'd like to see us run our offense later in the game.

This is what killed us the most today. Howard would have been around 200 yards if not for a few holding penalties. That one PI on Fant was extremely weak.

That was the best thing he could have done though, he made his mistake when he let the receiver get past him.

The offense is plenty good. The D line may qualify as plenty good. The secondary is HORRIBLE!! Nearly cost us a game that we easily  had control of. Somehow someway gotta cleanup the secondary by next week.

I was referencing the one earlier in the game where he had his hand on the receiver's back. I agree that was the only thing he could do once he got beat in that play.
