Now that thons off the board for this season

I completely agree, Rebel, it's definitely how Coach Crean rolls.  I get all the Burton love, but that's not gonna happen and i'm not gonna get my panties in a bunch if IU fills the last Scholly with a guy that none of us have heard of.  Because most likely that's exactly what's gonna happen, and it's most likely gonna be a Guard since we only have 4 on the roster which is crazy if you think about it since Crean is a Guard heavy coach.

You wear panties?   :scratchhead:

I just think it sends the wrong message to dismiss players for team violations and then bring on another guy with almost the exact same violation.

CBB has become a business. We're not going to go after him. I don't think we did when he said he was transferring last year. But he'd make us better. He'd sit out this coming season but would help experience wise with a team that could have 4-6 freshman.

Who cares? Obekpa is a good player. He's someone you can take a chance on. IU won't go after him though.

So after everything that has happened with drugs and this team you want IU to go out and get a kid who couldn't play in the NCAA tournament because of drugs. IN what world does that make even the slightest bit of sense

Sounds like he'd fit in great.

but I'm talking about basketball. He's a good talent. He's a great shot blocker. Could probably play along side Bryant. Although that blasphemy if you ask Crean about playing two bigs.

I'd rather have a guard, over another big.

A guard would be nice. But if we use our roster right then we're 2 deep at every spot. We shouldn't really worry too much about who is behind Troy. Troy should be playing 35 minutes.

That's a lot of minutes, homie.  At this point I don't care if we bring somebody in or not.  It would definitely have to be the right situation for a recruit because they would have to figure that with our depth they wouldn't get much run.

I  think OG will get some time at that spot.Troy needs to be sent to time out every now and then.

lol. He does. It happens. But I'd still like to see him play more than 30 minutes a game. If we're up by 30 against some crap team then put OG in.

Troy has to be consistent this year to play that much. Last year he killed us too many times by disappearing in games. Usually if he had a good, consistent game the team played up to potential. Then there were games like the Purdue games and even the Witicha State game in the tourney where he completely disappeared and we looked like a mess.

Michigan State at MSU. He was nowhere. Troy should honestly be able to average 17 points abs 8 rebounds. Even with Yogi and JBJ out there with him.

I definitely agree. He seems to look too much for the big time ,"sportscenter" play instead of just playing the game. Im hoping he really brings it this year and plays smart

Here we go again.  No, Troy shouldn't be able to average 17 and 8.  The list of players in the B1G over the last 5ish years to average 17 and 8 is short.  I don't remember the exact names but it wasn't a long list.  Kamisky, Zeller, Mbakwe, Sullinger, and I believe one other.  So no, 17 and 8 isn't really attainable for Troy.
