If I had to guess the announcement is about one of two things:

1. They are finally going to announce the plans for the South Endzone.From what I heard it will just be a bunch of offices similar to the north endzone. No more seating.

2. They are announcing that they are moving the volleyball/wrestling facility. They want to put all of the athletics facilities in the same vicinity.

Its apparently going to be a technology/broadcasting center in AH. Although both things you mentioned are happening. MS will add rehab and nutrition areas which will allow the football locker room to be expanded.
