I think we are going to be better next year, have the ability to go far. Hopefully Crean can pull it together for an entire season.

At this point it doesn't matter to me. If we go to the FF next year then we'll probably go to the NIT the next. It's Tom Crean's track record. He is what he is! Nothing going to change my mind at this point. Crean needs to go!

if we could land our recruiting targets, 2016 could be a great class (Alkins, Davis, Gordon, Murray, etc..)BUT that is what I said for 2014 and 2015 too. Crean isn't landing the talent HE needs to be successful. That is a major part of the problem outside of his in game acumen.

OSU loses some but brings in a dynamite recruiting class.

Illinois returns key parts and Groce has best class coming in.

Wisconsin has Bo Ryan and the endless supply of great players.

Purdue returns nearly everyone, minus octeus.

Maryland lands stud Stone and returns Trimble.

Michigan is a wild card depending on who returns

Elite 8 (hoping were at least competitive in the game)
This team really does have the talent to win it all.
My biggest concern is that we keep coach crean because of the elite eight. I'm worried that the talent is what took us there rather then the coaching.(three burger boys and explosive Troy) Thus keeping him longer then we should have. I think Bryant has that it factor, were he will yell at his team to front their man.
I hope objective minds can fairly judge coach Crean's in game coaching methods( if good or bad).

4 4 stars plus Lyle. Lyle, if motivated and in shape is every bit as useful as Blackmon and Bluiett. He's not Deangelo Russell, but he's really good. Big man Giddens. Sniper Grandstaff. Fiesty little PG in Harris??

Not much into assuming, or ifs, or maybes.  I will wait until next year and hope this team can play defense or they will be in the middle of the pact.  Blackmon would sit on the pines until he could play defense, and that goes for the rest of them.

So you're telling me Crean gets Thomas and all our players come back...

 

 

I say we make it to the round of 32 at BEST. This is tom crean we're talking about here, he doesn't use big men correctly. If Troy and James develop more and contribute each game.. then we could make a run to the Final Four.

 

But with Tom Crean coaching.. we could be playing in the final four or we could be knocked out the first round. Anything less than 2nd Round in the dance would be very disappointing imo.
